Very Happy With The Combo

I bought this for fishing from a pier and will use it in the future for targeting catfish. This rod is exactly as intended, heavy duty, but smoothly reels in. For the cost, I got a great deal and would buy this same combo again without question.

Good Rod/reel For The Money, But..

Overall it is a nice rod and reel for the price, however, mine may have been defective. The guide to spool the line must have had a sharp edge and was shaving the line when you let it out fast. Had to return it.

I bought this for my son and he loved it. Works great for flounder and porgies.

Quality And Well Known Name Brand

Penn is well known for quality products. Just sad that the store doesn't care for their inventory well. Took a while to get compemsated for its condition.

I bought this rod and reel a month ago, and and know every time I cast it the clicker turns on and shortens my cast and I get a backlash, I don't know if I need to buy a new one or if it can be fixed.
