Rated 4 out of 5 by from a few points about reviewing kayaks This is a good kayak for its price. Due to the hull, it doesn't track the best, but is very good for beginners or an occasional kayaker. Few tips for other reviewers: An 11 foot will not track better or perform better than it's 13 foot counter part. An 11 foot will not out race a 13 foot counter part, especially with someone of more strength who has done this for a while. Weight distribution in the kayak will make it turn more in one direction. If you lean to the right it will also go right. If you lean left it will go left. Please consider these points before comparing as you are comparing apples to oranges and not apples to apples. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Kayak for Beginners I have owned my Perception Rhythm for almost 2 years now. I had never been in a kayak before in my life. I was a little scared the first time I put it in the river as I was doing this alone and really had no clue what to expect. I had done some research on how to maneuver a kayak & tracking issues and had read how to correct them. The kayak did seem to track to the left but I began watching how I was paddling and sure enough my technique was wrong. Once I corrected my paddle style the kayak tracked as straight as an arrow. I went over a couple of class 2 rapids and never once was I afraid of tipping over or losing control. BTW: I was 62 the first time I did this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super stable kayak! The Rhythm 11 is the first kayak I've bought after years of rentals and is the perfect all around boat for any skill paddler. It is super rugged for those accidental scrapes with hidden boulders, tracks like a dream and is extremely stable. It has a large waterproof storage for all of your valuables and my favorite feature is the extra comfy seat that comes standard. My maiden voyage was a 27 mile paddle on a river I had never been on and this kayak handled better than I expected! After 7 hours of paddling I was shocked at how great the boat tracked with minimal effort and no back pain! The two friends with me on this tour are now looking to get their own. I cannot recommend this kayak enough!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Experiences Been kayaking for years so here is my take. First it is easy to get in. It tracks well. It is stable. You don't get wet. Paddles easy. Seat is good. But some say it hangs a left. My reply would be it actually follows the current. Now for the down side. In swifter water it does take a little more paddling knowledge then some others. In other words you might use some sweeps, back paddles etc. Nothing bad though and they are something you need to learn anyway. The thing I loved. Hit a rock or log and it just keeps going, no rocking tipping etc. Paddles easy and goes with little effort.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Kayak! I am new to the sport of kayaking and bought this boat with a few key features in mind. I wanted the boat to be able to track well in calm waters, be portable enough so I could carry it by myself, have a water proof storage area for potential one or two-night camping trips, and last me for a long, long time. This is that boat!! The Perception Rhythm 11.0 is very maneuverable, nice and roomy for my legs, plenty of storage for a day trip with the potential for an overnight kayaking trip, light enough to carry alone, comfy and an all around great boat. This has been a great investment in a great piece of outdoor gear that will last as long as I want it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great deal on a great boat I just bought this boat after doing a lot of research, both in store and online. I saw the Rhythm 11 at Dick's (they had the biggest selection to choose from in my area). I'm 6' 2" and weigh 225 but this boat has plenty of room. The knee pads were a major selling point for me as was the padded seat and seat back. I bought the kayak on sale with an additional $50 off on Labor Day so my total cost was [$]. It has a nice aft waterproof storage compartment and is an all around great kayak. There has been some mention that this kayak doesn't track well, to which I respond "So just paddle harder, after all kayaking is a form of exercise". All said, this is a great boat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I AM IN LOVE! I bought this kayak as an upgrade from a Sundolphin Aruba. I wanted something that was faster, had more storage and easier to paddle. I took this baby out last night for the first time and as soon as I pushed off from the shore I saw a HUGE difference. It glides so smoothly through the water! The seat is extremely comfortable! There's so much storage, plus room for my dog. It's so fast, too! I'm 5'3" and 120 pounds, I had no problem carrying this kayak by myself. Don't let these people who are having issues with tracking scare you off from buying this kayak. It was pretty windy on the lake last night, and I still had no issues with tracking! There's no drain plug, but it didn't take in much water, even with the waves splashing up.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice looking, solid boat READ THESE REVIEWS. I should have. If I realized this boat tracked horrible, I wouldn't have bought it. For $500 I expected a boat that paddles better than, or at least as good as my $250 Sun Dolphin. I'm tempted to leave this one in the garage and start using the Sun Dolphin again. This boat might work well for lakes or ponds, but it will beat you up doing any distance on a river. I've had 7 different kayaks over the past 15 years. The Rhythm is the best looking and poorest tracking boat out of all of them. 15 years of paddling different boats and then having to change just to paddle this boat because it won't track? I don't think so. It might be usable with a skeg, but that would require a little more investment.
