Rated 5 out of 5 by from An awesome kayak for everybody I have a smaller yak 9 footer needed a bigger kayak so I looked all over for this kayak it is a big difference between my old kayak and this a couple of feet. I am always cautious because I am 270 pounds other kayaks max weight is 275 this one is 325 I felt very comfortable when was on the water went about 3.9 miles this kayak guides through the water when you stop paddling you stay straight and don't veer to the right like other kayaks love the cup holder to I am excited to be in this kayak can't wait to be out again soon great sale on this Love it!!!!!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific kayak Kayak finally arrived and I got it wet in a nearby reservoir. Kayak tracked well due to the built-in skeg and was very stable in the wake of power boats. I deliberately floated parallel to the waves and never felt like I was going over. At first glance, I wasn't thrilled with the seat back. It seamed very basic and showed some cost cutting. But it adjusted well and gave good back support so I'm OK with it. It looks like some vertical supports can be added so I may try that in the future. I will also lengthen the front single strap along with some deck fittings to make it more useable. It seems limited as equipped. But those 2 points are nit picky. 'Yak has nice features built-in like water bottle holders, paddle rest with elastic tie-down, built-in carry handles front and rear, drain plug and covered rear storage. The real performance is in the paddling. Plus it looks great. I'm very happy overall and would recommend this boat to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great kayak! Just bought this a few days ago. Spent a lot of time on the water in canoes, kayaks & rowboat & this one is really comfortable for the money. I can put my legs up on the dash, lean back & relax. The backrest is adjustable so it's pretty comfortable & can easily be laid down to throw the kayak on my trucks roof. It tracks pretty well for being an 11.5, has one little rudder in the rear end that helps keep it straight. Doesn't spin as much as my others in the wind. Had it out in a storm today & yesterday. It is really stable in the water. I had our dog Mojo out for his first boat ride in it today. I didn't have my legs up for his first trip but it still felt really stable even with his center of gravity so high above most of mine. Overall I love it, the red & black tiger stripe design looks awesome next to our yellow ones & most with a regular color. It's really worth it, get one

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Kayak, but don't have it shipped This is our second Swifty Kayak, it is perfectly stable, has all the necessary features. Not a single complaint about Perception kayaks.I had to have this one delivered because there wasn't one avaliable within 200 miles. It took 17 days to get, they used some budget shipping service, who then pawned it off on yet another budget shipper. I will likely never buy online from Dicks again. Kayak was received in great condition and the color ordered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Kayak! I did about 1+ years research before purchasing any kayak, and I'm glad I did. I wanted to purchase 2 kayaks, one for my wife, and for myself as well. My first purchase was for my wife which needed to be pretty stable, but not too slow, since neither my wife nor myself really did much kayaking before. That was a Future Beach Trophy Angler 10.5. This was a great kayak for her. I then wanted something stable, but a bit faster, so the research continued. I came across this Perception Swifty 115 Deluxe, and because there were very few reviews, and didn't see this much online, I figured it was a new yak. For an online order, coming from~ 6 states away, the delivery was great, just as planned, arriving in great shape. I finally took this out the first time today, out on Lake Erie, just off the beach. The conditions were not great, 1-2 foot waves, but I wanted to check this craft out in these sub-par conditions. I must say, I was impressed. I felt very safe. The kayak felt very stable, moved along at a great pace, and did not spin when gliding. This yak has 2 deep keel guide channels, and a built in rudder that keeps this baby straight on course. At 47 lbs, having a very comfortable seat, a drain plug, and a cool Tiger-Striped finish, this craft is an incredible deal for a Low-to-mid-priced range yak. I can't wait to get her in the calm waters. Definitely worth the wait!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this Kayak I bought this about 2 weeks ago, I got to play with it for about 1hr in a local lake...it's very stable, and tracks extremely straight. I like the built in handles, and the weight is very light for an 11.5' kayak...it's think it is 47lbs and I have no problem carrying it myself. The only negative I see is the seat, it's not great at all but works...I recommend getting an upgraded seat when you buy the kayak if you can afford one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all around kayak! Purchased mine a couple weeks ago and couldn't be happier! Took it on a 3 day primitive camping trip on Assateague Island, Maryland and it worked great. It has plenty of room to stash gear, and the backrest offered nice support. The seat began to get uncomfortable after about 5 miles of paddling, but I just threw my pfd under my rear end and it was no longer an issue. I was nervous my fishing poles would fall out of the pole holders due to how shallow they are, but they were fine. (we went out in steady 25 mph wind/rain and very choppy water). If you're still nervous, just wrap a small bungee or a pole leash around them. They holders did fill with water, but it could be from paddling or because i didn't spread the weight from my gear out appropriately and it was rougher water. I'm 6' 180, but the design of the cockpit leaves plenty or room to stretch your feet. I carried 2 poles, a net, a tackle box, sleeping bag/pad, tent, 5 gal. water, 3 days food, clothes, and various other items. i was easily pushing 300 lbs of total weight, but was still able to move well through the water without fear of getting swamped. You can fit 2 20 liter dry bags in the back compartment. I even fit a 40 L dry bag up under the front and still didn't feel cramped. The paddle rest in the front is a nice feature as well. My buddies have the rests on the side of their kayaks, but they say they would rather have the center rest. I love how the handles are built on the front and back. With a couple ratchet straps, it allows for easy transport in a pickup truck. Plus its not to heavy to move by yourself if you have to.
