So Strong That Needle Broke B4 The Thread

I ordered this thread to mend my son’s welding overalls. Everytime I’ve mended it in the past, the thread breaks every few stitches and the hole opens up again. So I looked for stronger thread. I noticed that the threads seem to splay a bit and turn white where the thread rubs the eye of the needle BUT it does not break. In fact, when I was working over a seam (think 5 to 6 layers of denim), the eye of the needle snapped rather than the thread breaking. I’m impressed.
