PING 2025 Scottsdale Anser 2D Putter

About This Item

The Scottsdale family combines a one-piece face insert with a big jump in forgiveness across model styles and stroke types to fit every golfer. The lightweight PEBAX insert creates discretionary weight used to increase MOI while ensuring a soft feel, a pleasing sound, and consistent ball speeds. Standard grip is the Tour-validated SuperStroke Tour 2.0 PT Blue, a classic pistol shape providing feel and stability throughout the stroke.

This slightly deeper, perimeter-weighted blade design has similar weight, size and forgiveness of a mid-mallet putter. A lightweight PEBAX face insert creates discretionary weight used to increase MOI while ensuring a softer feel, a pleasing sound, and consistent ball speeds. Subtle color blocking between the top rail and back portion draw focus to the front of the putter for better alignment.

Love The Face

I bought the Tyne C center shaft at Golf Galaxy a few days ago. The face feels as good as any putter I've ever owned. Played 18 yesterday with it in a tournament at a course I only play once a month. My speed was perfect all day! I have a PLD Anser too but I may like this better.

Bang (And Quality & Precision) For Your Buck!

This putter is basically automatic. I also own a Spider Tour X that cost me an arm and a leg more than this Ping Scottsdale Anser 2D and I have to say it is a dead heat as to which one I like better. In hindsight, I would have saved the money for something else and just gone with the Ping. The insert on this is magical, and feel is off the charts. Basically, feels like a softer milled face putter, and the balance and weight is superior to the many other putters I have tried. As always, the design and materlals used by Ping are top notch--shaft made in Japan (likely by Nippon or Fujikura), head is made in Vietnam, and it's all assembled in the good ole US of A. Ping designs and materials are unmatched. You get more than what you pay for! Who needs a $400+ putter when you can snag this at under $250?!

B63 - Unicorn Putter

Since the mid-90s, my primary flatstick has been an Answer 2 BeCu. I lag great with it, but struggle in the 5'-10' range. I've tried to replace it over the years, but every putter that improved my midrange putting killed my lag putting and resulted in worse overall putting stats... until I tried the Scottsdale B63. It's the first putter I've used that I can hit midrange putts with and lag putt with. I've had the best putting rounds of my life since moving to the B63. Over the course of three rounds, I've only three putt once and have averaged just over 1.5 putts/hole - excellent numbers for me. I don't know if it's the shape or the insert or whatever other technology is in the Scottsdale putters, but this one works for me.
