Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply the best I'm a (0-5).. why would I play the G?, because they are straight and long, can be moved in both directions.. even the best ball strikers need forgiveness. Ping knows golf..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Forgiving and long! Thrilled to be back in Ping irons. Played player irons for past 10yrs & I'm just getting older. Previously I played I/3 & G2 irons. These are by far the best irons I've owned. Lets be real, they are designed to help higher handicap golfers. However, I believe a mid handicapper would love these. Top line appears thin because it is rounded. Yes the bottom is thick due to the forgiveness being low and back, but you notice this only slightly in longer irons. The joy is in the performance. Balls explode high off the face. Probably picked up a couple of club lengths with this set. I got fitted at local sporting goods store. Strongly recommend doing the same. My set arrived in 8 working days. The lie, grip, and shaft are perfect. Happy to say, these might be the last set of irons i'll ever purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Im not a Ping homer, but Wow! I went into the golf store with my heart set on the Callaway Apex 16CF Irons. A salesman encouraged me to use the simulator and handed me Ping I, Apex 16 CF and AP1 (all in 7 irons with the Apex 16 CF and the AP1 having 31 degrees of loft) irons to try out. I loved the distance of the Apex 16 CF but wasn't thrilled with the feel and consistency (my thoughts were "A little familiarity with the club, I would work out the kinks"). The AP1 had an incredible feel but on average, was 10 yards shorter than the Apex 16 CF (I'm not alone with this assessment see Rick Shiels golf channel on YouTube he was hitting a AP1 6-iron as far as Ping G 7-iron and Apex 16 CF 7-iron). And the Ping I, I don't think I gave a fair shake because my mind was made up on the Apex 16 CF's. The salesman came back a short time later and asked my thoughts and I told him I loved the feel of the AP1's but loved the distance of the Apex 16 CF. He literally started laughing (I guess this was a frequent comment) and walked over grabbed another club and said very assured, "This is the club that you want." And he could not have been more right. He handed me the Yellow Dot Ping G and on average it flew as far as the Apex 16 CF and felt as nice at the AP1. This performance and revelation shattered my initial thoughts so much so, I could not buy the clubs that day. I thought it had to be a mistake, so I went home, did some research and went back a week later and experienced the same results, so I bought them. The distance and forgiveness is ridiculous. I read a review of the Ping G Irons that sums up my thoughts, "Easiest iron to hit, so forgiving that you may forget to practice."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good iron for all types of players this iron is very forgiving as well I picked up one half club on carry distance. It really excels in elevating the ball from imperfect lies. Allowed me to start using 4 iron again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Accuracy with Distance My G irons are fitted with Nippon N.S. Pro shafts. My handicap is 12 because limited time to play. Yet, these G irons make golf easier since it’s so accurate with a smooth & buttery feel. I gained about 10-12 yards of distance yet the balls stops on the greens. I can hit draws and fades but ball flight always hight. Highly recommend the G irons for those better players who don’t have time to practice at the driving range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best club ever I just got fitted for the Ping G . They let me hit the 7 iron and what I experienced was unbelievable, it carried 189 stopped 196. I shoot in the hi to mid 90's. never have I hit a 7 that far

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Iron. But This is my 4th set of Ping irons. I've been playing these for 3 seasons now and they are a very forgiving. My only issue is that the elastomer inserts keep falling out. Ping repaces them at no charge. But, I'm without iron(s) for around a week. I've has the 6 iron insert fall out 3 times and the 5 iron once.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All Around Great Irons Ping plays as my best irons (Purple) when fitted compared to other brands... Every time. These were a good upgrade for my G15 set as they are a slight update in "technology". Only pain point here is that they come stock with shafts that may or may not be good for some golfers and swings - Make sure you get the shaft that is right for you!
