Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great iron set for ANY level of golfer!! I’ve been using these for several rounds. They are awesome. Long, higher flight shots. Very accurate. Very forgiving, but can easily be “worked” left or right when needed. I am currently a 5 handicap, and switched from the I series irons. I have not regretted it at all. Any level of golfer will enjoy the game more with these clubs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from They look used clubs with golf pride grips. Ping no longer makes grips for their clubs (2018) - they come BRAND NEW with Golf Pride Grips. Not what I would have expected from a company of this size and reputation. Overall gives the club a cheap look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the trajectory As a senior golfer who lost his distance and trajectory the G400 have given me back my game off old . Excellent Ping equipment as always.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good design, but quality control is slipping I play a lot of golf year round - approaching 100 rounds with additional practice sessions. I have a lie and loft machine, plus a swingweight scale, and I can tell you these clubs come right out of the box with accurate lengths and lofts, semi-accurate lies, and are ALWAYS lighter in swingweight than advertised. I have taken the clubs to four other swingweight scales and they all confirm the lightness of the clubs. Fortunately you can add narrow strips of lead tape to the top of the existing epoxied-in weights, and not against the rear of the face, and create an ascending swingweight profile of C6 for the 4-iron, up to D2 for the sand wedge. I do not know exactly when this problem started, but the prior irons were "spot on." Then with the last three models the swingweights got light, and stayed light. The aluminum and plastic badge of the irons tends not to be glued well on the heel side. The steel portion of the heads, shafts, and grips all seem to reflect the quality Ping was once known for. The clubs do feel good when struck, the finish and bounce tend to cut through the turf better, the distance and trajectory increase are noticeable over the earlier models (lofts are .5 to 2.5 degrees stronger, too). The distance consistency is better than most of the other trampoline/catapult irons. The azimuthal accuracy is good, but not outstanding. I have shot my age with these irons, so they obviously are superior products; they just need more assembly control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from G400 iron set (5-PW, UW) I'd been using a set of Ping G15's for years. Although I was still very happy with how the G15's worked for me, I felt it was getting time to consider looking for something newer to put in the bag. It just so happened that Ping came out in August, 2017 with these G400's. I had read pretty much every review on them available and made my way down to my local Ping fitter to give them a go. It took about 3 hours of finding the right shafts, swing weights, lofts, lies, grips, etc. As soon as those details were sorted out I put the cash down and put in my order.. Three weeks later I was standing on the first tee of my home course with renewed confidence and fresh off the factory floor, a brilliant set of G400 irons. A dangerous combination. Before the golf season in Alberta ended Oct 19, 2017, I managed to get in 22 rounds with the new clubs. What an absolute pleasure it is playing with custom fitted, quality clubs. With a handicap of 12, I am by no means a professional golfer but I really do like these new G400's. They've got a confident feel to them, they feel more consistent, appear to be a little more forgiving on those mishits, provide a little higher ball flight and I've gained about 3-5 yards in distance with each club. When I go through all my stats at the end of the 2018 golf season, I expect to see an improvement, particularly with my greens in regulation.
