Rated 5 out of 5 by from Balls seem to explode off the face Just got back into golf after 8yrs. Always wanted a set of pings so i pulled the trigger and bought these g400's. I thought that being 53 now i would'nt be hitting the ball as far. Wrong, the ball just explodes off these clubs. I am hitting the ball farther than i ever have. The weighting in the clubs feel great. They are the most forgiving clubs i have ever hit. I see some reviews talking about the finish scratching easy. I've played over 20 rds. With mine and they still look like the day i bought them. All i use is a wet towel on course after each shot and when i get home i use a tooth pick to clean whats left in the grooves. I seriously doubt if i will ever have to buy another set of clubs in my lifetime.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easiest irons to use After playing with Ping G25’s for several years I decided to go and get fitted for a set of G400’s, 4 to sand wedge. The actual fitting took around an hour and a half but was time well spent. It took a few rounds to get used to how easy the G400’s are to play with and it was worth the wait. My handicap has come down from 19 to 14, which is testament in itself.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just didn't work for me I was playing Ping G series irons & thought the G400 would be a step up. Was 'fitted' at a local big-box store & testing did show some distance & accuracy gains. But on the course they just 'didn't work'. No extra distance or accuracy at all. looking back, I really feel these clubs were a hair too advanced (i.e less forgiving) for my 16 index. There was absolutely nothing 'bad' about them, it's just that on the course they just didn't perform any better than my existing clubs. Ended up selling them a month after purchase & eventually bought a set of Ping G-Max, which I really like. The whole experience was a letdown after all the G400 hype, but bottom line, I stayed in the Ping 'family' w/ my new G-Max's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Higher and longer I went to a club fitter this spring and tried out several brands of irons and the Ping G-400s came out on top by far in accuracy, distance, and spin. Hitting these clubs on the course has not disappointed. Granted, my old clubs were 20+ years old, but I hit these G-400s at least 10-15 yards farther. I am 57 and I'm getting the same distance out of my irons now than I did in my mid-30s. I'm finding the largest distance increase in the 4 and 5 irons. I hit the 4 iron off the tee as far as I used to hit my old 2 iron in my prime. In addition to the added distance, I am hitting the ball much higher. A majority of my iron shots into the green now hit and stay within a few inches of my ball mark which rarely happened before. When I played last month with friends, they couldn't believe how high I hit my irons. I am also finding increased forgiveness on mis-hits, losing far less distance and accuracy, which I need being a 12+ handicapper. I am extremely pleased with my Ping purchase and they were actually a few dollars less per club than their competitors. I was never a Ping fan in the past and really expected to walk out of the pro shop with Mizuno or Callaway clubs. However, I am sold on these clubs and would recommend them to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made My Game Fun I immediately gained 20 yards per club with these irons. My previous set were hand-me-downs and I recently hit them again to find that 10-12 yards of the improvement was likely due to the stronger loft of the G400s, maybe a little bit more from the longer shafts I was fitted with, but that's still a significant improvement. They look great. They feel great. Mishits still travel as far as sweet-spot shots off my old set. I'm not bothered by the offset. Comments about the finish showing wear easily are true, but I'm not bothered by it. I enjoy practicing now, which has improved my game tremendously.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High launch and terrific distance. One of the best decisions I've made on equipment. Added 25 yards on each club.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Feel, and excellent ball flight. I purchased the G-400 iron about a month ago, and couldn't be more satisfied withe results. Great ball flight. Proper club fitting, produces great results in distance and accuracy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Renewed confidence on the course! First of all, I am a 10hcp and I play 50-60 rounds a year living in southern AZ. I was usually solid with my short game, but anything outside of 100yds was difficult for me to get close. Especially to get any shots to check up. The higher trajectory has allowed me to confidently go for the pin and the forgiveness keeps me in play with the inevitable, occasional, mis hit.
