G430 LST Driver

  • CG Shifter Influences shot shape by placing a tungsten weight (22g in LST) in one of three positions (Neutral, Draw, Fade)
  • The high-density tungsten moveable backweight shifts the CG location to influence ball-flight direction (Draw, Neutral or Fade)
  • Lightweight CarbonFly Wrap™ composite crown wraps into the heel and toe of the skirt to save weight and lower the CG for more ball speed with higher MOI
  • 8-layer, one-piece composite saves four grams and weighs 11.5g fully installed. The weight savings are re-allocated within the clubhead to optimize CG position and increase the MOI
  • Shallower, thinner VFT forged-face design is engineered with Spinsistency, a variable roll radius technology that creates less loft low on the T9S+ face to reduce spin, resulting in faster speeds that generate consistently longer drives
  • New internal rib structure and increased curvature of the crown, skirt and sole fine tunes clubhead frequencies to produce a desirable sound and impact experience
  • 8-Lobe Adjustable Hosel enables adjustments for loft (±1.5°) and lie (3° flatter than std.) to further dial in ball flight for the best results

First Ping Driver I Have Ever Loved!

I have always had a great respect and admiration for Ping as a company and its products! Started with Eye2 and the Zing back in the day. I have had many different Ping products over the years all incredible performers. However I could never get along with the drivers. They either had a look or sound that wasn’t appealing or they didn’t perform for my swing too much spin, floaty trajectory with no penetration. So for the last almost 4 decades I’ve played drivers from various manufacturers recently playing Cobra’s and Callaway’s. I’m 63 and a competitive golfer. However I was starting to show the effects of age. Swing speed slowing, launch lowering and on our course which is usually soft that was a bad combination. Time to do something. Enter the G430LST! I had heard so many good things about the G430Max10K and its older brother the G430LST that when the opportunity came up to get one at a good price I reluctantly took it. I wasn’t really expecting much but was I in for a shock. Right out of the gate the ball jumped off the face with a ferocity I hadn’t seen in years. The flight was piercing and landed with the perfect trajectory to maximize roll. Mishits were straight with just a minimum loss of distance and direction. What surprised me the most was the sound! It sounded like a driver instead of an out of tune glockenspiel! Normally a good drive in the past would carry about 240 averaging in the low 230’s . Immediately I was averaging in the mid to high 240’s with a good drive carrying over 250. Since then I have been working on speed with the Stack system and my good drives are mid 260’s. Hopefully carrying 270 by spring. All of this with more fairways hit. Ping! I’m back!

Unbelievable Performance

I was recently fitted for a driver and of all the drivers I hit, including some a few hundred dollars more expensive, this was by far the best feeling, sounding, and straightest. On the course, it just doesn’t miss. I’m a relatively inconsistent ball striker with the driver and this driver refuses to miss. My worst shots are just off of the fairway, instead of in the woods. Truly unbelievable.

Best Investment I Ever Made

My club pro shop loaned me one of these for a couple of rounds. By the second round I was consistently hitting fairways and gaining yardage. Had a fitting and bought this club. I just love the way it feels when you hit a solid shot. It is also very forgiving.

Good Control

I bought this over the winter as my other driver cracked during a simulator session. I've been able to use this driver a few times now outside and I think it has helped my game. It has a good fade for me, but not over into slicing territory. Don't know how much is the driver vs my lessons but I won't complain as I'm hitting more fairways than before.
