PING G430 MAX 10K Driver

|
About This Item

The PING G430 MAX 10K Driver is designed for golfers seeking long-distance performance with the confidence to hit straighter tee shots. Featuring PING's highest moment of inertia (MOI) to date, this driver boasts a larger head profile and a Carbonfly Wrap, ensuring exceptional forgiveness and optimized spin for maximum distance. Experience unparalleled accuracy and power with every swing, making it perfect for both professionals and everyday golfers.

The G430 MAX 10K is PINGs straightest and highest MOI driver to date, eclipsing the 10,000 g-cm2 combined moment of inertia threshold first surpassed by the G400 MAX five years earlier. Three main visible technologies and differences distinguish the G430 MAX 10K: A fixed back weight, a larger head profile, and a Carbonfly Wrap on the crown.

The fixed back weight allows for the record-setting MOI as it drives mass down and back to increase forgiveness and optimize the center of gravity position, lowering spin and ensuring ball speed preservation across the clubface for added distance. The heavier backweight (28g) is in part achieved by weight savings of 5g from the carbon crown (13g fully installed) to create a powerful combination of accuracy and distance to meet the performance needs of all golfers -- from tour professionals to everyday golfers.

The shallower and thinner forged face is optimized for more flexing to ensure faster ball speeds and relies on Spinsistency, a variable roll radius innovation, to optimize spin across the face for added distance.

PINGs biggest head profile to date maximizes the USGA-allowable heel-toe and front-back dimensions while staying within the 460cc volume limit. This eye-pleasing shape helps square the golfer to the target and inspires the confidence to hit longer, straighter tee shots.

The Carbonfly Wrap also helps produce a slightly louder, less muted impact experience in the larger profile head.

TECHNOLOGY

  • 28g fixed backweight positions the center of gravity lower, deeper to create PINGs most accurate, forgiving and lowest spinning 460cc driver to date
  • Carbonfly Wrap crown weighs 13g fully installed and saves 5g of weight to help lower the CG and increase MOI
  • Thinner, shallower forged face optimized for more flexing, ball speed and distance
  • Spinsistency, a variable face roll radius, optimizes spin, contributes to added distance
  • Biggest head profile to date allows for record-setting MOI and inspires confidence to hit longer, straighter drives
  • Sound is less muted, slightly louder than G430 MAX for powerful sensation
  • Lightweight Trajectory Tuning 2.0 hosel allows adjustability of +- 1.5° to dial in ideal ball flight
  • Speed/Distance
  • Adjustment tool is NOT included

Unacceptable Quality Control – Paint Coming Off

As a longtime Ping customer with multiple G430 woods and hybrids in the bag, I’ve come to expect not only elite performance but premium durability. That’s why I’m so shocked and disappointed by the Ping G430 Max 10K driver I just purchased. Let me start with the positive: **this club performs.** It's easily the most forgiving driver I’ve ever played. The feel, sound, and ball flight are phenomenal. On performance alone, it’s everything you’d want in a modern driver. But after just **one day** and **30 or so swings**, the **finish around the face is already flaking off.** The head cover went on immediately after the wrapper was removed and used at the range once. The head cover was back on. I just removed the head cover and I discovered Paint chipping, peeling—completely unacceptable, especially for a club that carries the Ping name and price tag. I’ve never seen this from Ping before. My other G430 woods and hybrid have been through brutal playing conditions, including nasty bunkers, and still look pristine. By comparison, this 10K looks like it got hit with a cheap, rushed paint job. I bought this expecting it to be the flagship of my bag. Instead, it looks like it’s been used for a season—after a single session. **This is a failure in quality control, plain and simple.** **I demand a replacement club.** Not a touch-up, not an excuse—an actual replacement. Ping needs to step up and stand behind its products. See attached photos. Day one. This is not what anyone should expect from a brand like Ping.

Best Driver On The Market

This driver is not only forgiving, but extremely long. There is no comparison to this driver from any other manufacturer.

I Wish I Would Have Read The 1 Star Reviews First.

I had this club for one year, in Canada, 3rd round this year and the screw for the weight broke off. So simple and now out the club for 4-6 weeks during prime golf season. Totally unreliable and going back to Callaway.

Questionable Design

Bought the 10k around 2month ago now and unfortunately for me the carbon has split in exactly the same place as the others. This has genuinely knocked my confidence with this club and if replaced I don’t know if I’d want it with fear of it happening again.

G430 10k Max Cracked

Good evening. Again I see another crack in the head at the same area. Had mine now 9 weeks and probably had approx 14 rounds with it and it's happened to mine. Probably best driver I used also. So it's going back to the pro shop. Left Taylormade last year too, did I do the right thing! I've no idea. Mr Ping, whats happened to the design of this model? Something isn't right.
