PING G440 LST Driver

About This Item

The G440 LST (Low Spin) design appeals to players with faster swing speeds, providing lower spin and more control in 9° and 10.5° lofts with the three-position back weight.

Free-Hosel Technology

  • Weight removed from a section of the hosel is re-allocated to help push mass lower to create PINGs deepest center of gravity in a driver to date, aligning it closer to the force line for faster ball speed, optimal spin and higher launch for longer and straighter drives.

Hotter, Thinner Face

  • A lower face height allowed PING to make the face both thinner and hotter for more ball speed and consistency across the clubface, including the high heel region.

Shaft Options

  • The standard length is 45.50" for the PING Tour 2.0 (Chrome and Black) and stock aftermarket options (Project X Denali Red and Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Black).

CarbonFly Wrap Crown

  • Common to all three models (MAX, LST, SFT), the CarbonFly Wrap crown saves weight, which is re-allocated to help lower the CG, ensure forgiveness and contribute to a more muted, pleasing sound at impact.

Heavier 3-Position Adjustable Back Weight

  • A 29-gram back weight in the MAX and LST models ensures forgiveness and can be adjusted into draw, fade or neutral position to influence shot shape and trajectory.

Trajectory Tuning 2.0 Adjustable Hosel

  • The lightweight, 8-position hosel enables adjustments for loft (±1.5°) and lie (up to 3° flatter than std.) to further dial in ball flight for the best results.

Wow

First I like to say Ping is incredible for how they stand behind their product. Started with a 400 lst in late 2017, 18 months later I cracked the head right down the middle I got a replacement head for free. 18 months later I cracked the second head right down the middle. Ping sent me a 425lst for free. 425 not as long as the 400 but very straight. Last year my 425 tour chrome shaft cracked ping replaced it. Outstanding! Now to the new 440 lst. I tried all the new drivers C TM T …the 440 with the Black tour 65 stiff, carry distance on the monitor 255 w/ 15 rollout. Not bad for a 67 yr old. Played first round today, some drives were 280 + and laser straight. Only problem was I need to adjust my target to keep from rolling into trouble 0-5 hdcp Can’t wait for my 440 max 3 & 5 fairway to arrive!

Super Forgiving For A Low Spin Driver

Purchased this driver and it is super forgiving, solid on mishits and golf balls fly a long way! Being a smaller sized head, it looks very good at address and lines up perfect. Ping have been known to make the best drivers, and they definitely nailed it on this one!

Back To Ping

I recently got the Ping G440 LST driver 9* with a Ventus TR black 6X shaft. My swing speed is around 115 and I play to about a 5 handicap for reference. I had been gaming the Callaway AI Smoke TD with same shaft. I had always enjoyed Ping woods in the past but had strayed away from them in the past 3-4 years. I am so happy I went back. The feel of this driver is great. For a “low spin” head, it is very forgiving. Simply as I can say it, it is easier to hit. If you’ve liked Ping before or are considering it now, this driver is legit. I have the 4 wood ordered also and I am looking forward to hitting it.

So Far So Good

Best distance and accuracy for me after my fitting. Traded in my Titlelist tsr2. Tried the new Taylormade, Callaway, Titlelist and Cobra drivers. Felt the most solid, looked great at address. Honestly Ping wasn't even on my radar coming into the fitting.
