About This Item

Golfers in need of slice-correction technology fit best in the G440 SFT (Straight Flight) option, which features a two-position (Draw and Draw+), adjustable 23-gram back weight. Offered in 9° and 10.5° lofts.

Free-Hosel Technology

  • Weight removed from a section of the hosel is re-allocated to help push mass lower to create PING’s deepest center of gravity in a driver to date, aligning it closer to the force line for faster ball speed, optimal spin and higher launch for longer and straighter drives.

Hotter, Thinner Face

  • A lower face height allowed PING to make the face both thinner and hotter for more ball speed and consistency across the clubface, including the high heel region.

Lighter Overall, Longer Shaft Length

  • The total system weight is reduced by 10 grams and the standard length of PING's proprietary ALTA CB Blue shaft is 46" (1/4" longer than the previous model) to help golfers swing faster for more speed while maintaining a tight dispersion pattern. The standard length is 45.50" for the PING Tour 2.0 (Chrome and Black) and stock aftermarket options (Project X Denali Red and Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Black).

CarbonFly Wrap Crown

  • Common to all three models (MAX, LST, SFT), the CarbonFly Wrap crown saves weight, which is re-allocated to help lower the CG, ensure forgiveness and contribute to a more muted, pleasing sound at impact.

Trajectory Tuning 2.0 Adjustable Hosel

  • The lightweight, 8-position hosel enables adjustments for loft (±1.5°) and lie (up to 3° flatter than std.) to further dial in ball flight for the best results.

Bought this a month ago - great fitting experience at the Easton OH Folf Galaxy. Place was super busy and the store manager and salesman found a way to fit me in. Wonderful experience and even got my grip adjusted - thanks for the lesson.

I have a pretty bad slice. Not saying this club will fix the slice but it does make the side spin a lot less. My drives are a lot further also.

This Amazing Driver Is Really A Slice Killer!

I was fitted with this driver and although it was a bit pricey I gave it a go! I love this driver. My shot grouping on the simulator was tight as well it was on the golf course since I had the opportunity to play 2 rounds with it. Not one tee shot with this driver went out of bounds. On the simulator, I didn't register a lot of distance but knew with the grouping this driver fit my game. It's not always distance needed to focus on but for it to set you for that approach shot just had me blown away. I knew I would work it out to get the distance I needed and it did. I ended up increasing my loft to 12 degrees and the weight set at full draw+ and abracadabra! I am getting my distance back and finding the fairway! Will did a great job of having me try out many other drivers but this driver fit my swing and fits my game. I am grateful! It was money well spent in my bag because I can confidently get off the tee box with this driver! Quit worrying about distance and look at your grouping. Once you are pegged with this driver, you'll get the distance you need and will be able to stay on the fairway! What more can an amateur golfer ask for? The Ping G440 SFT is a great fit for this golf who once slices but now has a power fade to a draw! The forgiveness??? I couldn't ask for better forgiveness on any other driver because this driver proves it! I'm ready to give this a go on my Sunday golf team!

This was the key to helping out my slice. Occasionally I still let one sway to the right but that's when I try to switch my grip or swing. I would highly recommend

More Forgiving Than G440 Max

I played the G430 Max for about a year or more and switched to the G430 SFT. I found it more forgiving. I turned around and bought the 440 Max because it had a draw setting not present in the G430 Max. I returned it after a couple of weeks and exchanged it for the G 440 SFT. I have been extremely pleased. Although I play a draw and don't slice too often, I still like to eliminate the potential. I don't necessarily need to or want to "work" the ball and if I know my drives are going to go straight, slight draw or at worse weak fade, that works for me. The G 430 Max and G 440 Max definitely allowed the occasional slice.
