Product Information:

Powerful design meets pleasing aesthetics to form PING G700 Irons. PING’s longest, highest-flying irons feature a hollow body, 17-4 stainless steel head construction with an internal geometry design that positions weight away from the face for metalwood-like flexing. A C300 maraging steel face combines with low and extreme heel-toe perimeter weighting to further enhance face flex and tighten dispersion. Optimized sole width, bounce and offset enable better turf interaction for improved ball striking.

Powerful Design:
  • Engineered for the player seeking the ultimate combination of forgiveness and distance
  • Hollow body construction of the 17-4 stainless steel head allows for an internal geometry that positions weight away from the face
  • Metalwood-like flexing and high COR greatly increases ball speed to launch the ball higher and farther
  • Playability and high launch benefits achieved while maintaining a slim, aesthetically-pleasing shape
  • Hollow-body construction and cavity geometry achieve higher trajectory with enhanced power and sound

Maraging Steel Face:
  • Three times stronger than 431 stainless steel, C300 maraging steel is one of the strongest alloys in the world
  • Maraging steel increases ball speed and distance by generating twice the face flexing at impact
  • Low and extreme heel-toe perimeter weighting ensures high inertia and tighter dispersion
  • Remarkable craftsmanship achieved through two-step heat treating and robotic plasma weld processes

Extreme Weighting + Forgiving Sole Design:
  • Low and extreme heel-toe perimeter weighting delivers a balanced CG location for each iron
  • Optimized sole width, bounce and offset allow for better turf interaction to improve ball striking
  • Enhancements result in higher inertia, optimal ball speed retention and consistency on off-center strikes

Additional Features:
  • Black Dot irons feature a neutral lie angle to accommodate golfers with balanced turf interaction at impact
  • Slim sole width and smooth offset create a confidence-inspiring view at address
  • Sleek, clean cavity profile delivers a streamlined, player-preferred aesthetic
  • Hydropearl plating repels moisture and decreases friction between club and turf
  • Grip: Golf Pride Tour Velvet Black

PING AWT 2.0 Steel Shaft
  • AWT (Ascending Weight Technology) employs a steeper weight progression through set
  • Lighter long iron shafts help square the face to increase club head speed for distance and accuracy
  • Heavier short iron/wedge shafts for improved trajectory control and feel

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blade look and game improvement in one pkg. I just went through a thorough fitting on the G700. Wow! A club to club and a half improvement in distance and they present a clean picture at address. Project X L/Z 105 shafts give me consistent dispersion and trajectory. Ordered 4-UW, 9 wood with Ping Tour shaft as a hybrid/fairway metal. For My driver, found the G400 SF Tec at 10* with the Project X Hazard shaft worked best. This set up was not inexpensive but if the launch monitor read outs are even close.....well, it was money well spent. Accuracy and forgiveness TBD, so, 4 stars for now. If you’re serious about your game, the G700’s are worth your time to check them out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Straight and Long! Bought G700's about 2 weeks ago. These are the easiest irons to hit in golf. Very forgiving on mishits. Extremely long per each iron. You the golfer are in control with these clubs. I play iBlades and i200's which also hold their own, but the G700's are just fun to play golf with. Because the ball flight is mid to high they hold the greens and stop rather quickly. Leave it to Ping to bring out products that make you want to play the game. Play these irons and you will love playing golf, period!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In A Class By Themselves I've now had my G700's nearly a month, and I hate to disagree with Ping techs, but the G700, which supposedly replaces the G-Max, DOES NOT! This is NOT a super game improvement iron, this is NOT a game improvement iron, this is a DISTANCE IRON in between the game improvement and players irons (G400 & i200). Super easy to hit, high as the sky, forgiving, long, beautifully designed, and ACCURATE! I'm 67 & have the Power-Spec with the Recoil SmacWrap shafts, and these irons are incredible and long...up to 15 YARDS LONGER! Off the tee, where my previous 2 year old iron 6 iron with Recoils went 155-160 yds, the G700 6 iron FLEW 175+ yards off the tee on a par 3! I used to use my 5 hybrid for that shot. Need a slight fade or draw, YES I CAN! You have to hit these irons to believe it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WHAT A GREAT SET OF IRONS I have played Pings my entire life. These are by far the best ever. I have never hit the ball so far and straight. I am hitting the 7 iron at least 10 to 15 yards further The clubs give you confidence when you look down at them. I really can't believe they are a SGI club. I have guys asking me when did I start hitting blades. First round out I couldn't practice because the range was closed. Played the best round of golf since I join this club. The finish is so awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from JUST WOW!!! Just ordered a complete set of clubs. I had the G irons and went to the G700. Why? It was like hitting a 5 iron, only I was hitting a 7 iron. And the accuracy was amazing. I had a 3 1/2 hour fitting by a pro fitter, who knew what he was doing, at Golf Galaxy. I traded in all my clubs. All of them. I now have all ping, from the G400 driver, 3 wood and hybrids and the G700 irons 6 down to the SW. I picked up a Glide 2 lob wedge and finished it off with an amazing Sigma G Kinlock putter. I just can't wait till they arrive. Thanks Ping. You make a great set of clubs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pink and glows in the dark Went to club champion hoping to be fitted into the taylormade P790, very good looking club. After hitting those, the AP’s, Rogue, and G400 and well into 115 balls I said hook up the G700. Fitter’s response was you don’t want those shovels, you are an 8 handicap, those are super game improvement irons. 5 swings proved they were the straightest and most accurate of the bunch. Told the fitter, I don’t care if the club is pink and glows in the dark, if I hit more greens and shoot lower scores I am in. Not much change in distance over my Callaway Steelheads but MUCH better dispersion and consistency in total carry. They also look so much better from the top down, Ping did a great job of hiding the muscle. For a hollow club they also feel surprisingly good, though they do make a nice crack off the face. Which is just enough noise for your other players in the group to look up and watch the dart you just hit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I feel 20 again.... Awesome After recovering from back issues I wanted to get my game back to peak performance for a man in his now mid 50's. I played Ping's most my early days growing up and switched to Calaway about 5 years ago. I had lost a lot of swing speed and was hitting a 7 iron around 155 yards with a lower trajectory and considerable run out. Flash forward I purchased the new Ping G700 after extensive review and research. I was excited to get back into my pings as I love the look at set up. The irons appear to look like a forged iron with a little more length in the head but very comfortable. After my fitting I was excited to hit the irons for the first time off of grass because the simulator indicated that I was now carrying 168 yard average with a 7 iron with very little run out. Sure enough, 170 yard carry with very little run out and the ball flight was high and straight. I feel like a kid again and my playing partner played out of my bag all round and is buying a set this week. Awesome buy on my part.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these irons.... you must try these clubs!!! I was deadset on purchasing the i200.... I hit them in the booth and I was convinced these were the clubs for me. My fitter handed me a G700 7 iron and I was hitting it time after time 182-185 yards no more then 12 feet off center.. I couldn't believe length of these shots with very little ease. The look at address is amazing... PING really nailed this club... Once you try them, you will buy them.
