Product Information:

Powerful design meets pleasing aesthetics to form PING G700 Irons. PING’s longest, highest-flying irons feature a hollow body, 17-4 stainless steel head construction with an internal geometry design that positions weight away from the face for metalwood-like flexing. A C300 maraging steel face combines with low and extreme heel-toe perimeter weighting to further enhance face flex and tighten dispersion. Optimized sole width, bounce and offset enable better turf interaction for improved ball striking.

Powerful Design:
  • Engineered for the player seeking the ultimate combination of forgiveness and distance
  • Hollow body construction of the 17-4 stainless steel head allows for an internal geometry that positions weight away from the face
  • Metalwood-like flexing and high COR greatly increases ball speed to launch the ball higher and farther
  • Playability and high launch benefits achieved while maintaining a slim, aesthetically-pleasing shape
  • Hollow-body construction and cavity geometry achieve higher trajectory with enhanced power and sound

Maraging Steel Face:
  • Three times stronger than 431 stainless steel, C300 maraging steel is one of the strongest alloys in the world
  • Maraging steel increases ball speed and distance by generating twice the face flexing at impact
  • Low and extreme heel-toe perimeter weighting ensures high inertia and tighter dispersion
  • Remarkable craftsmanship achieved through two-step heat treating and robotic plasma weld processes

Extreme Weighting + Forgiving Sole Design:
  • Low and extreme heel-toe perimeter weighting delivers a balanced CG location for each iron
  • Optimized sole width, bounce and offset allow for better turf interaction to improve ball striking
  • Enhancements result in higher inertia, optimal ball speed retention and consistency on off-center strikes

Additional Features:
  • Black Dot irons feature a neutral lie angle to accommodate golfers with balanced turf interaction at impact
  • Slim sole width and smooth offset create a confidence-inspiring view at address
  • Sleek, clean cavity profile delivers a streamlined, player-preferred aesthetic
  • Hydropearl plating repels moisture and decreases friction between club and turf
  • Grip: Golf Pride Tour Velvet Black

PING AWT 2.0 Steel Shaft
  • AWT (Ascending Weight Technology) employs a steeper weight progression through set
  • Lighter long iron shafts help square the face to increase club head speed for distance and accuracy
  • Heavier short iron/wedge shafts for improved trajectory control and feel
  • Flex: R / S / XS | Weight: 98g (R), 104g (S), 119g (XS) | Trajectory: Mid-High (R), Mid (S), Low-Mid (XS)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Ping Iron Ever !! I have been playing Ping irons for 40 years and the G700 by far is the best iron I have ever played . I've played 5 or 6 rounds and it without doubt is 8 to 10 yards longer so now I am hitting 8 iron where I use to hit a 7...that is a big deal for any player . Also , the feel is really solid and even off center hits carry a long way and very accurate . I am a 5 handicap and at age 71 can't tell you what a great weapon these are to have in your bag !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the sound and feel My first Ping irons and love them. Even took a couple hybrids out of bag and replaced with irons, which is huge for me as I never liked hitting my irons. The launch/distance/forgiveness incredible. I am a 60+ woman and generally score in 90s, though I have a feeling that will change quickly with these irons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Increased yardage and accuracy Switched from a long time (20 yrs) playing graphite "I" irons to the new G700 with light weight steel shafts. Have gained back the 15 yards and improved accuracy. Love the feel of the steel shaft and the increased launch angle. Fitted at 2nd swing Minnetonka

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them! Purchased about 2 months ago and just love hitting them...Very forgiving and Long...Even miss hits still carry well...I really like the sound they make, not annoying or too loud as a reviewer had stated. I’ve lost some distance over the years but now I’m back to where I was 20 years ago hitting an 8 iron at 150yds vs current 7 at 150yds. I haven’t had any issues with the finish since I used the small black shipping sleeves until I got some head covers for them ( I have got some ridicule from buddies for that but for what I paid I Really don’t care)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall positive, but some mixed feelings. After playing a set of G2 irons for a few years, I upgraded to this set after being properly fitted and hearing good things about the performance of the G700s; mainly the distance and forgiveness / consistency. I hit them well in the shop, really liked the feel, and I was slightly more consistent than with the i210 for comparison. They feel amazing on the course, I'm hitting them high and typically 10yds over what I would have with the matching iron in my previous set, so I'll need to make adjustments in my club selection, but it is certainly a welcome change. Aesthetically, they are beautiful clubs...when you buy them. After two rounds however, it looks as if I used them to dig up my garden and then sweep my driveway (and I am typically light on equipment). Some normal wear is expected, but the finish that started off looking so amazing is now rubbing off in heavy streaks on all surfaces from the clubs moving against each other in the bag. So, I'm pretty disappointed in that aspect, I've never had this happen on a club set before. I probably should have read more individual reviews, as I now see some others are having the same issue. It does not make a difference in performance, they still play fine, but for me it is a bummer. If you care about how the finish of your (expensive) irons wears almost immediately, I might look at other options. I have since heard this issue has been fixed on the newer club materials, so I am kind of wishing I had gotten the i210 considering I was hitting them almost as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replaced PXG Started with G400 SFT driver and was so impressed with it, decided to try the G700’s on a whim. Was playing PXG XF first gen and thought I’d play these clubs for a long time as they feel so solid. The G700’s felt just as solid, but just crushed the ball...nice high flight that settles softly. Ordered a set with the Recoil shafts and love them...don’t know what to do with PXG’s now. Have played about a dozen rounds, including a trip to St. Andrews, and still feel and play great. Have seen various complaints about finish durability. The clubs come with little covers on them and I’d recommend that you get some covers and use them if you want to maintain the look. Not clubs you can just throw in bag and throw bag in trunk and expect the finish to look great. Covers are a nuisance, but save finish. It’s sort of the nature of a satin finish not to be as bulletproof as a regular chrome finish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally found the irons I have been looking for First ever set of Ping irons. Green dot with the Dymanic Gold 105 shaft.Absolutely incredible feel, forgiveness, consistency and distance. I am in love with these irons- my long quest for a perfect set of irons is over.
