Bad Element

Heating element is already faulty after 4 cooks. Worked really well up until then!! I’ve used pit boss for years but this one is a no go for me.

Wow

4+ so far. Spent about 90 minutes putting it together. Surprised everything fit so well. Seasoned according to instructions. Just finished using smoker for 75# assorted pounds of fish. 8 consecutive batches with no problems. Temp maintained through out each 5 hr cycle and wood lasted about 2 hours at 190. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was getting to know the smoker. By the end of the first load I had it figured out and am very pleased with the consistent outcome of the salmon, albacore, yellowtail and sable My only wish would be for smoke button turn off automatically. While on, the smoker gets to over 300 in 20 minutes or so! I only did this once (lol) I do not use the probe that comes with unit as I prefer to use my own tested and true thermometer. Other minor issue is drip pan doesn’t cover entire bottom and some liquids roll down inside of legs. Either the acidity of the brines this could create trouble over time. Will review again after 6 months or so

I Love My Pitboss

I got my PitBoss a year ago and used a few times then put it up for the winter this spring of 2025 the temp setting it not working properly and it wont stop heating up it just gots hotter and hotter I included a pic it says 030 on the home screen and it just ramps up the heat im not sure if its the mother board or temp probe but I cant use it right now and really hope its cover3d under your 5 yr warranty pls help me get this figured out

None So Far

I bought mine 3 months ago.and it worked great the first time. When I went to use it the second and third time it shuts off after one minute

Not Impressed So Far

Temperature indicator and probe readings appear to be wrong. Just finished smoking a 3lb beef brisket for 4-1/2 hours at 225 - 250F. Took it out, sliced it open and it is almost raw in the middle. Probe temp only reached 165 degrees.
