Top Plate Protection Is Peeling Off After A Single

I bought this model PB5BG9D2 model at Lowe's, I was happy with everything, easy to assemble, appearance and versatility, however I only used it once and after use follow safe cleaning instructions. The next day I was going to use it again and found that the protection coat of the hot plate was peeling off in multiple small areas. I immediately called customer support, got connected with an agent who informed me that the griddle is still functional and basically there was nothing he could do. Best Ever!

5 Burner griddle with non-stick 36" surface. I love that I can independently adjust and level out the griddle footing to allow the grease /oil to drain to the center drain hole.

Love being able to prepare my main dish and the sides on my griddle cooktop. Watched many videos to educate me on how to use it and this helped greatly. I made some mistakes that were not a big problem, and learned from them. (First breakfast I flipped an egg right into the grease cup!). Very happy so far.
