Go with the tried and true PowerBelt ® Copper Plated .50 Caliber 295 Grain Hollow Point Bullet. This copper plated bullet has become one of the most popular muzzleloading projectiles. It's unique design makes the use of sabots obsolete. The thin copper plating reduces bore friction and creates higher bore velocity. This still allows for premium bullet expansion in the rifling grooves producing a clean and accurate shot.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Erratic Performance Easy to load. Acceptably accurate in my Winchester Apex with 2 Triple Seven pellets. But VERY unpredictable performance on game. I've had numerous cases of the bullet separating and fragmenting even on very small deer just from hitting a rib. Entrance holes are dramatic- golf ball size- on chest shots. The bullets seem to often blow up on impact and fail to penetrate. I'd hate to shoot at a big whitetail buck with one of these. I have switched back to a saboted bullet. Much more dependable bullet performance and well worth the hassle of dealing with sabots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shot the best with my components Used to use the 245 gr power belt , wouldn't group with my new gun. I switched to the 295 gr with 100gr (volume) loose triple seven, Remington primers and my Traditions pursuit shoots around an inch at 100 yards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Punch Been using these for a couple of years now. Last year, I shot a 6 PTR at about 70yds using 100gr (2 pellets) Whitehots. Shot for center mass, knocked the buck down and he never got up. After skinning, you could see the entry wound was about a quarter's size, however, I could put my fist in the exit wound. I've found that they are significantly more accurate using 100gr instead of 150gr loads.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product, easy purchase The bullets are the easiest way to use a muzzleloader, no muss, no fuss. purchasing on-line was a snap and saved money. only issue is the picture was unclear on the website as it showed 3 different types of bullets, which one am I getting, Had to read the description carefully to understand is WAS copper plated and was NOT the accutip version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Bullet I used this copper hollow point 295 gr with 100gr volume triple 7 and a Vari-flame cci 400 primer and at 50 to 100 yards hit hole for hole. I ran out of day light to try 150 yards but I believe it will do fine at that yardage too. Looking forward to Deer season.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't believe the hype The equivalent of a round ball with a copper jacket. Take the base skirt off and it shoots the same, poorly. 150 grain Pyrodex charge will flatten base of soft lead design causing bullet to be wildly inaccurate. Any sabot round far more accurate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best deal I already knew these bullets worked the best in my Ruger 77/50 muzzleloader. Dick's had by far the best price I could find so I bought two packs instead of one. I can almost taste the deer jerky.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value and service On-line ordering thru Dick's is incredibly simple, especially using your Paypal account. The shipping is fast and the prices were lower than any of their competitors. Give them a try !
