I was given a MDF STIGA and had it a bunch of years. I had it outside under our patio cover with a cover on the table. It was next to our pool. I would get wet, we'd wipe it off and then the MDF would start to bubble and over time, from parties and monsoons in the Las Vegas Valley. The Prince All Weather can't do this. I bought the Prince sight unseen, as they didn't have any samples open. The aluminum top/deck is attached to a 1/4" polymer material, so there are no water issues. Then this is GLUED to a metal WELDED frame. The locking wheel are big enough for our backyard terrain. I'm a sucker for gimmicks, and the paddle/ball/net cabinet was prefect for keeping all the loose items in one place, with the table. We get high winds, so having a low to the ground center of gravity (when stored) and wide wheelbase was important. It seems popular for the new tables to be 2-peice tables, I was looking for simple. I can put a cover over it, put it against the wall and not worry about the winds blowing it over because it's top heavy and having two table pieces flying around the yard and possibly into the pool. Some of these reviews are very picky, for no reason. This is a great table, the bounce is nice, it can be wiped down with water or Windex. You can put water bottles, beer or soda cans on it without fear of water damage. It's a simple, time proven design. The instruction packet was amazing, great pictures (Suggested tools, weren’t correct). I have never seen a simpler way to display fasteners in my life! A giant blister pack with pictures, sizes and numbers correlating to pictures and international assembly instructions, AND there was the EXACT number of fasteners! I wouldn't put the table in direct sun light, as I'm sure the aluminum deck would delaminate from the polymer base . . .but who would do that, Hello? I will keep it covered, when not in use and store it against a wall . . . possibly tie it to the wall as we can get 70mph gusts. All in all a great table for pool side table tennis aka ping pong!
