Rated 2 out of 5 by from Escalade reel is 5 stars. I was going to buy this rod with the Escalade baitcaster but I noticed people said a lot of tips were breaking. I got a couple Ugly Stik gx2 from Walmart it's a one piece baitcasting rod very high quality a nice black finish a sharp-looking pole I've had them bent in half and they don't break. Can't beat it for 40 bucks

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Felt great in hands until first hookset I bought this rod and really liked how it felt. But i won't make the mistake in going with a lighter rod again. On my very first hookset the tip of the rod snapped. Went back and returned it and got an ugly stick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CHEAP THRILLS! I've had the rod and reel combo for a year now. It's great for small finesse type lures and spinnerbaits. I personally use this rod and reel for the Shakey Head type lures. The first time I've used the Quantum rod and reel combo, I've caught a three pound bass. A month later, I've fished Clear Lake for a two-day bass tournament and I had a blast with this rod and reel combo and it performed with flying colors. While fishing for bass, I've caught bluegill and crappie on this rig. I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME ROD This was my first bait caster rod and it has performed amazingly. I've caught a couple of toads on it and it held up fine

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Escalade or Escape? I bought this about a month ago with the hopes it would help with casting jigs for red drum and speckled trout. Rod felt good at store and I went with it o ear the One3 Fate solely on price. $40 difference meant a decent savings. Nice backbone feel but you don’t truly know until strapping a reel down and casting. After fishing it the first time, I was set back as it really felt underwhelming. I have high end and low end rods and budget rods and this one has felt less than stellar. If i lived closer to a Dick’s then it would have been returned. Casting I’d rate it a 4/10. Feel a 4/10 and build a 4/10 as i didn’t initially notice that one eye was bigger than the two on opposite sides of it.
