The only thing is the first day my line got caught under the spool when it rotates up and didn’t realize that was the problem for a little and knotted it up in there a lot. It was a pain to get out but now i know if it ever gets stuck again to check under the spool. Its an easy fix when you catch it early! Besides thats- easy all around, great for south east Florida with the shallow canals”.

You can feel how sturdy it is. 2) The rod does not break down, once spooled/threaded, it stayed loaded without any issues with the fishing line. (Unlike the VERY expensive one I got him for Christmas) 3) the rod had a good give to it, without being too much. 4) the reel worked fantastic and was smooth with a strong catch 5) it held up against our VERY WINDY lake without the problems he has with some rods 6) Finally, he told me he had two people on shore complement it! Note- this is an unspooled reel without fishing line premounted-

Smooth And Fast! Wow!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rod and reel combo is sturdy! This is my first Quantum reel and I’m so impressed with how smooth and quiet it is. This particular reel is very fast, spinning over 6 times per turn. The handle on the reel is also much bigger than I’m used to, but comfort wise it’s wonderful! My husband is eyeing it already, but with how good of a value it is and after seeing the quality, we will very likely purchase a second one to use together. I really look forward to having something that can stand up to going after the larger predatory fish this year up on Lake Superior and down south going after some big catfish. He just put some braid on it and the speed and smoothness really was wonderful. No tangles or twists! Perfect for going after large fish.
