This One’s Definitely Worth It!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ⸻ I got the Strive 4000 spinning combo and it was excellent gift for my husband, who absolutely loves fishing — and it turned out to be the perfect present! He’s been using it on weekend trips around the NYC area, especially along the Hudson River and out near Jamaica Bay. The rod is lightweight but strong, and the reel has such a smooth action that even I was impressed watching him bring in a nice-sized striped bass last weekend. He said it feels great in the hand and handles really well even after a few hours out by the water. It’s been a joy seeing him so happy and relaxed doing what he loves. It's sensitive enough to detect even the lightest bites, but still has the backbone to handle larger fish in the 10-17 lb range. Nice Reel And Rod
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From my husband: “This reel and rod is nice. Casting distance is amazing and the reel in it feels like butter. I love it. The only thing is the first day my line got caught under the spool when it rotates up and didn’t realize that was the problem for a little and knotted it up in there a lot. It was a pain to get out but now i know if it ever gets stuck again to check under the spool. Its an easy fix when you catch it early! Besides thats- easy all around, great for south east Florida with the shallow canals”.
