Perfect Choice

I bought this backpack for my trip to Costa Rica, and I am glad I did. The many n compartments made it easy to retrieve my things quickly. Also, the weight of the bag is very light.

Don't Waste Your Money

Super thin material. Doesn't seem very durable. I am going to return right away. Looking for a backpack to carry bose s1pro speaker 16lbs.

Poor Shipping

Ordered this online with Dicks sporting goods 3 weeks ago and still haven’t received it.

Thin Material Damaged On First Hike

The bad: On my first hike, one waterbottle pocket was torn somehow. All of my clothes are fine (no damage) and the rest of the pack is fine, so I'm not clear how this happened. The material the pack is constructed of is thin. Some other packs I've acquired in the past had reinforcing material on the bottom (to prevent damage where the pack gets set onto the ground) - this one does not. I have concerns about durability in the long run. The good: I sweat heavily, so the idea of a pack that doesn't sit directly on your back (via the partial internal frame) is what sold me. The size (volume) of the pack and attachment points are convenient and allow for packing layers for winter day hikes or lots of water in the summer. The pack is comfortable and has many well-thought-out features - like 2-position bottle pockets (for ease of retrieving bottles while wearing the pack), or pockets on the waist strap (for energy snacks). I used the loops on the waist strap to hold my bear spray. However, overall, I cannot recommend this pack due to the torn material on the bottle pocket and future durability concerns.

Great Features For A Day Or Weekender Pack

Bought it for the man of the house who does weekender hikes with family in summer it has great amount of pockets to store all his chargers and stuff. When it’s fully packed it’s not too heavy. And is a great starter pack.

Hiking Bag

I bought this for a hike and the first day of the hike the back support came through the backpack. It was an uncomfortable hike for the rest of the week due to the metal hitting my back the entire trip.

I'm Happy About It.

The value for the price is unbeatable. I took this on a 3 day backpack trip a week after buying it. The construction held up perfectly, the lighter color fabric did stain with the amount of moisture on the ground. The internal frame seems to do what it's designed to. My leaving weight in this bag was around 25 pounds which was distributed nicely to start however the way the waist belt hits is too high on the stomach and it's hard to distribute more of the weight onto your hips while still having a nice tight pack so my shoulders really got fatigued and were in a lot of pain toward the end of each day. I'm 5'8" and we put in 12 miles (7-8 hrs) each day. The rain fly kept the pack completely dry through moderate rain. The mesh side pockets are spacious and durable, I was able to stuff a bunch of things in there I wanted easy access to while hiking including my liter of water, I did not utilize the water bladder feature. The mesh that rests on your back is a nice touch to keep the pack off of you so your back stays ventilated. I appreciated the cinch straps on the bottom of the bag to hold my tent poles horizontally on the outside of the bag. The trekking pole loops are a nice touch to keep them accessible but out of the way while not in use. the full length front zipper made for easy packing and unpacking but i didn't utilize it to access anything from the bottom without disturbing the stuff on top, due to the way I personally packed. Overall great pack for a 3-5 day outing.

Light Weekend Pack

This is a great pack, very light and versatile. Comes with a nice rain cover that packs easily into the front pocket. The gray color is very cool and keeps the contents of the pack cool on hot sunny trails. I really liked the main front zipper to access what I needed quickly from the pack.

A Solid Comfortable Backpack With Plenty Of Space.

I received this product for free in exchange for a fair review. Overall I would call this a very good backpack. I do light hiking, but never overnight so this is probably more than I need. The straps are very comfortable with lots of padding and there are lots of pockets to have easy access. It has a built in frame which is nice but sits a little high on the back. I haven't fully messed around with the straps to see if this can be fixed. The materials seem nice and solid that will last for many trips. I think it would work very well for my needs for the right price.

Awesome Pack!

This is such a cool camping/hiking backpack, it has more pockets than I'd know what to do with. There is a little pocket at the bottom that holds a waterproof cover. It can be easily folded back up to fit inside. There are sturdy metal rods, with a heavy duty mesh piece on the back. It will definitely hold up when hiking. I like that the main compartment can unzip to fit a sleeping bag or other bulky items. I haven't used it yet for hiking but it will be great for our next camping trip!

The Quest Expedition 45l Is An Excellently Designed Bag!

The bag is adequately sized for all hikes and most short camping trips. Despite its relatively small size, it boasts a number of impressive features. Firstly, this bag has a small plastic internal frame to provide structure. The frame is lightweight, yet sturdy enough for a fully packed bag. Because of the frame's assistance with weight distribution, everything felt lighter on my back. This bag also has many different pockets and straps for varied packing strategies. The straps on the bottom of the bag are perfect for a sleeping bag, ground mat, or small tent. Underneath those straps is a small pocket that holds an included rain cover to keep your bag totally dry during heavy rain. There is also a pocket on top of the bag for any small items you may need to access on the go, without opening or unpacking the rest of the bag. Finally, there is a pocket for a hydration bladder, so you can stay hydrated as you move. Some other useful features are the emergency whistle on the chest strap, the included strap management bungees (so those leftover strap ends after adjustment aren't hanging everywhere), and the water bottle pockets on the sides. Overall, I would give this product a 5/5. Met or exceeded all of my expectations. I would highly recommend this bag to anybody who is a frequent camper or hiker.

Room To Spare

This back pack is amazing. The main storage area can be loaded two ways: from the top with the sidewall zipper closed, or open the zipper for access to the main storage area. The manufacturer has thought of many extras to make your trek easier. There is a padded back with a spring setup that allows air to circulate behind you. Padding is everywhere. Many zippered pockets to stash the things you may need in a hurry. There is a sleeve to accommodate a hydration bladder (supply your own). I have found the zipper pockets located on the waist belt to be in just the right place. Included is a rain cover for the entire pack. Besides backpacking, I can use this pack to travel. All those items that can be packed without fear of wrinkles can be accommodated. There is a convenient for carrying off your back. The mesh side pockets can hold plenty of water. The material looks and feels like the rugged backpack you will use for a long time .

So Far So Good!

I am excited to put this backpack to the test! I had a trial run this past week with it carrying things around my neighborhood and it fit everything I needed, it was pretty comfortable, and seems durable. I do need to spend some time adjusting the backpack to fit me properly, but even with the limited fiddling I did with it, it was decently comfortable.
