Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money. We wanted an inexpensive croquet set for occasional backyard use. $50 doesn't seem inexpensive to me, but it was the only one they had in the store at Dick's, so we bought it. The set comes in what looks like a carrying case, but unless you remove the handles from the mallets every time you store them, they don't fit in the bag. The mallets are quite light, making it hard to feel like I'm hitting a solid shot, and the plastic covering the ends of the mallets will surprise me if they don't crack after a few games. The wickets are a heavy-enough metal. They may be the highest quality part of the whole set. I don't know how much a decent croquet set costs, but apparently it's something more than $50. I'm giving this set 2 stars for quality because it is made of wood. Could be slightly worse.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Complete waste of Money I just returned this total waste of money. I purchased this set for Memorial Day weekend festivities in my backyard. It did not last even one game before the super cheap plastic mallet heads were breaking and coming off. The box states they have rubber mallet heads but this is a lie, It is cheap brittle plastic. Thankfully Dick's is close by and I returned for a full refund but I am still a little bummed that this brand new Dick's store would carry such an inferior product. If I had wanted a dollar store level product I would have gone to a Dollar store not a nice sporting goods store.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk...don't waste your money! When we took this out of the box, several of the plastic caps on the ends of the mallet heads were already falling off. My husband glued them to make them stay in place. The first time we used the set, several of the plastic caps cracked or split. After using the set about 5 times, one of the wooden stakes was cracked, one mallet handle completely broke in two, and the metal stakes were bent. We returned it to Dick's about 3 weeks after we purchased it and got a refund. Trying a more expensive set now. I would recommend for Dick's Sporting Goods to remove this item from their shelves.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good first set I bought this for family fun at Easter. When I was a kid my parents had a set and we had so much fun. This set isn't as nice of one. The balls are smaller, and the sticks aren't meant for any roughness! There is no cart either. You have to take the sticks apart to store in the bag. So, I don't expect this set to last a real long time but it fit it's purpose. We had fun at Easter and I plan to buy a more sturdy, expensive set in the future. This is definitely worth the $50 bucks!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke Right Away We purchased this on a Saturday to use on Easter for outdoor fun. One of the tall stakes broke as soon as we started game #2. One of the mallets plastic cap broke by the end of game #2. We took it back and got our money back. For $49.99 I expected better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap quality First time using it the plastic on the clubs cracked and broke off. The clubs was not designed to withhold the hitting pressure of the balls
