Trying to keep it simple and effective with putting line on a reel. First off, it doesn’t work with the barrel type spools of line that you can get with Mono. The bar isn’t long enough to clamp the spool down on the bar. The system is designed for the disc type spools and the clamps keep the spool from spinning too freely and the line from coming off the spool unintentionally. I like the line guide and the line cutter. Both help with the task. You need a solid surface to attach the spooler and a little bit of space to manage the rod and reel. There is a small learning curve but overall this spooler can help get the job done.
