Adult Batting Helmet For 12 Year Old

I guess my 12 year old has a head that has outgrown youth size helmets. We went to the store and found a Rawlings Senior (Adult) Velo Baseball Batting Helmet to try on. It fit, but the store didn't have the color scheme he wanted. Ordered it online without issue. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars was the shipping. It shipped via FedEx. It seems everytime we get anything that ships through FedEx, we get an expected delivery date. I can see the item arrive in my city, get put on a truck for delivery, and still have it show as "on time." But almost always, FedEx updates that the item has been delayed for "Exception." What does that even mean. I checked the status for the next 2 or 3 days before it finally went out for delivery and arrived. Is this Dick's fault? YES! Use another carrier besides FedEx and I'll be a more satisfied customer. Otherwise, once the helmet arrived, it fit well, looks great, and my son is super happy with it and isn't getting his melon squeezed anymore.

Comfortable & Solid

At first I was nervous due my my cranium being between at 7.5 inches, however the helmet slide right on comfortably. There isn’t any sliding when moving your head. Only struggle is with glasses, which you’ll need to take off and put back on after putting on the helmet. However, the safety is worth it
