Great Boots

I have had these boots for 9 years and going strong!

The Iron Ranger

I bought these boots when I was 14 years old, going on 15. Now I am 20 years old, going on 21. These boots have literally grown up with me, I feel the insole slightly smaller than my foot. They've stretched slightly since I've grown up and they still to this day feel as wonderful as the first time I put them on. They're like an old friend that I can rely on in every situation. Hiking the hills, forests, and Coast lines of California and marching down city streets for miles in San Francisco, Paris, And Venice Italy. I 100% recommend these boots for the new and veteran boot collections.

Iconic Boot, Iconic Style

I’ve had these boots for a year, they ran a little big but the overall fit is nice. To the people who say they are uncomfortable, they are boots. These are not a sports shoe with an air bubble in the heel. They add style to any outfit, so great with chores around the house, and patina up nice too. Get you a pair, you’ll be glad you did.

Nice Looking But Poor Rivet Design

Really enjoyed them until I took them off after my first wear and found that the rivets from the speedhooks had started to cause a gauge in the leather tongue. Unacceptable for a boot of this price to have such a design flaw that commonly has this problem.

Overall Solid Boot

I've had these boots for three years now. I would say like others, go to the store to get fitted. My feet were between sizes, with one too tight and the other too loose. So I went back and forth, taking them home and wearing them in the house for a bit, but couldn't get a decent fit. Finally, I went to the Maple Grove, MN location (originally bought at the La Crosse store). The gentleman said, " Try these with an insert, and boom! Perfect fit. Once these are broken in, which took about a month or two, they have been amazing. I use these boots at the farm and around town. Not sure how good these boots would perform if you are in the trades, but for farm work, they work for me. I clean and recondition them about twice a year, and they have not let me down. I will say, if you work in the snow or in wet environments, these boots are not your friends. Even with the waterproofing I applied per Red Wing's instructions. I spent a day working outside in the snow in the 20's. My feet were soaked halfway through the day, and working in cold, wet feet is not much fun. Lessons learned. The overall takeaway is: these are my favorite work boots year-round, except in wet winter work. These function fine in dry to somewhat muddy environments, but not in wet environments... get a different boot for that.
