Get Real!

Reading some of the one star reviews, I have to ask, What was the expectation of these boots? The Iron Ranger is not a hiking boot or a construction boot. This boot is not meant to be worn at the lumber yard or the logging job you have in Oregon. Let's be realistic, the Iron Ranger is a hipster boot made to look good at the bar. There I said it! Going tailgating or apple picking, perfect. Need to look good with your new selvedge denim, these are the boots. I have had my Iron Rangers for 8 years and they are outstanding for the boots they are. Yes, I have worn them on trail and once along a river while fly fishing in British Columbia but when I need a truly rugged boot for hiking, working or traveling to parts unknown when real field-work might be needed, I wear my Whites Smoke Jumpers and they never fail. This is by no means a knock on my Iron Rangers (which I Love) The Smoke Jumpers cost twice as much as the Red Wings, they should be twice the boot- and they are. I can upland hunt in the Dakotas and fly fish through the Gila without destroying my Whites but I would never wear them to a party or a show. Thats where the Iron Ranger comes in. It's a five star boot when in its designed element.

Sayar

I recently got two pairs of these boots, and every time I put them on, they take me straight back to my childhood. I remember when my mom/dad would buy me a new pair of shoes every couple of years—I’d go to bed and wake up with that sweet excitement, knowing I’d get to wear my new shoes. That same happiness and nostalgia come rushing back each time I lace these up. I can honestly say, oh God, I love these boots and the feeling they bring. Thank you, Red Wings, and thank you to everyone who put their hands and heart into making these.

Damaged Within 2 Months

Tongue is already getting eaten up by the laces/eyelets. Not a huge deal now but if it's getting this indented already I can't imagine this boot lasting 1 year. Havnt had my boots for long at all and paid full price for em. I purchased a pair of Moc Toes around the same time that are doing the same thing. I want to continue to support Red Wing but cannot do so with this kind of quality. Redwing, please help.

Not Worth Half The Money.

I bought these boots a year ago and they're so bad red wing won't even try to fix them. The speed hooks broke off after a few months and the stitching blew after 9 months. These are junk and I'm going to start supporting an American brand that actually stands behind their product. Never buying Red Wing again.

Stellar!

I highly recommend the Iron Ranger. I've owned Red Wing boots in the past that have been very hard to break in but these took no time at all. They're well worth the money and they are definitely a looker! Be sure and get the RW leather conditioner and if you have a narrow foot like mine, invest in the RW insole. It's well worth it. With proper care, these Rangers will last forever.
