Don't be fooled by the talk of aluminum. The reel is plastic! This is a beginner rod/reel and feels like it. Do yourself a favor and choose something better.

I took it out to the North Fork of the Coeur d’Alene river and was so happy with it. Comfortable and responsive, I think this will be a great first fly rod for my future collection.

Balances well in your hand. Halls very well! 4 Pc easily fits all compact cars. Easy to get through airports and fly with. Is a joy to fish with! If you are new to fly fishing or an occasional fly fisher. May I suggest going up one weight on your line. It will load and cast easiy ~~ plus ROLL CAST & mend like a dream.

Nice Reel

I like the reel not comfortable with the feel of the rod yet might just take some more time. The fly line keeps getting tangled i guess because it was pre spooled.
