Rated 3 out of 5 by from Best sandals/flip flops/thongs ever Hands down the best, most comfortable, longest lasting sandal I've ever had, and I live in these things year round. Although in need of replacement now, I've had them for at least 8 years, and am now looking to buy another pair. I recently bought an alternate pair, but I'm ditching them because the 'flip flop' of the stiff sole drives me crazy. These Fannings do not make flip flop noises when you walk, and stay with your foot which makes walking far more pleasant. The only downside is the bottle opener. I wish they'd make the same sandal without the bottle opener. After a couple of years, it caused some midsole pain from the metal pushing through. However, that went away after about a year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only Flip Flops I will own As a few others have said.... Best in class. I own these in 6 colors. I have never been able to wear flip flops. They have always caused me to get blisters. I discovered these purely by accident in a clearance bin and tried them on because they looked nice. I walked around the store and realized they were not causing any chaffing, so I bought them. That was 6 years ago. I live in Florida, and these are almost the only thing I wear. Every pair still looks brand new. They are all still comfortable. The soles have not collapsed like I see with other brands. Unmatched style and comfort. I wear a size 9 shoe, but a size 8 Fanning fits perfectly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Incredible Shrinking Shoe My husband has been wearing this flip flop for YEARS. As a pair gets old, we replace it. He loves them. This year, I ordered him a pair in his size and they are too small. They are a size 13. We held them up to his other pair, also a 13, and the new pair is noticeably smaller. He wore them around before I noticed that his heel was right at the edge, which is when we compared them, so I can't return them now. Some consistency in sizing would be nice. Other than that the quality is still good. Just too bad they don't fit. We won't buy again bc that is the largest size and now, after at least 6 years of wearing this exact style and size, they're too small.

For beach loungers only All-in-all a comfortable flip flop, but for the amount of money I paid I was hoping for more than 2 summers worth of wear in New England. Straps chafed pretty bad until they broke in after a few weeks of wearing. Ultimately these did not hold up to the "rigors" of my daily summer life - the treads on the bottom of the sole wore first, becoming very slippery and the thongs have ripped out from the sole. The bottle opener is pointless - I don't want sand, dirt, bottom-sole-funk on my beer...just sayin. This time I paid for the brand name and ultimately got burned on an overpriced pair of flip flops.

Now they feel more narrow and actually just aren't nearly as comfortable as they used to be. I know the strap between toes is also a new material, which I thought was for the better. Pretty bummed out about the purchase and won't be buying another pair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable sandal, durability?? This purchase was a replacement of the same sandal. The first pair ripped after 1 1/2 summers of wearing...not impressed by that, but I do have two pair because they are very comfortable and I liked the sandals. Just wish you stood by your product better. For example, I have sent Nike shoes back d/t getting blisters, ripped 2 years after purchase, and Nike replaced with no questions asked. I am not thrilled that I had to spend another $50+ on the same sandal within 2 years, and seeing that I live in Wisconsin, you know that I am not wearing them year round. I wear them from about June-early Sept, and maybe 1-2 per week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and Stylish Second pair of Reef's. My first pair was purchased 9 years ago and still running. I just wanted a different color this time. So comfy and even better when you break them in. Definitely worth the money if you take care of them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice flop for the right person My first choice is barefooting it. When I can't bare the terrain or heat my reef Phantoms have been my answer for the past few years. Took a chance on upgrading to the Fanning. Construction is great and look/feel like they will out last the Phantoms. Fit is true to size, but only giving 3 stars because the elevated heal is not the best design for my type of foot, longer toes medium width. Foot slides forward causing stress between large and second toe..did not happen with Phantoms. If there is a next time will try Fanning low. Also need to resolve the issue with logo peeling up on heal pad..only took a few hours of wear for that to occur. Of course bottle opener rocks!
