I normally wear size 8 but I bought size 9 because that’s what had in store and I needed right away. It work out fine. They were very comfortable and durable. I wore it on the beach and hike with it up a small cliff. The Velcro strap were very strong which were useful hiking especially when I size up. I think it would be better if I bought a size 8 instead
