Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Ammo Great ammo and when it's on sale even better !!! We have a 1911-22 pistol and a Remington 511x rifle and it cycles perfectly in both. About 2000 rounds in the 1911 and 500 in the rifle and I can honestly say less then a handful of issues, some of which were light strikes that did fire on the second attempt. If I remember correctly we had (1) FTE but in all fairness that was after about 500 rounds in the pistol and it did need a cleaning ! "I'LL BE STOCKING UP"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Value for a Very Decent Round It's not the cleanest ammunition you can find, but it certainly does the trick. I get nearly zero failure-to-fire errors with this ammo, and very few failure-to-feed errors. My Mark III has no problem with it, my Walther PPK fails to feed one every few magazines, and my 10/22 will fail to feed usually once per magazine. The CZ 455 never has any problem with it, but then again, that's a bolt action, so it better not. I blame the 10/22 for being dirty rather than the actual round. It's just more finicky than the others. Price-wise it's exceptional. I use a Dick's $10 off a $50 purchase coupon, buy two boxes, and it gets my per round cost down around $.05 each. You can't beat that, so one magazine on the bolt action costs me half a buck! Accuracy-wise it does great too. I'm a decent shot, but no expert, so for my skill level this stuff serves me just fine. I've compared this stuff to some Eley gold box that runs nearly three times the price. I was shooting the 455 @ 25 yards with the scope set to approx 8x. 10 target dots each, five rounds per dot. I had already put about 100 rounds through the rifle, so the barrel was pretty warmed up. Out of the 10 dots, the Thunderbolt had 7 dots with all five in the circle. The other three had four with one very nearby. The Eley had 9 in the circle with similar result for the other one. This is not to say either one is particularly more accurate -- this is a very loose comparison with my human ability very much at play here. It's only to say, for my shooting ability, there is no justification to spend three times as much on ammo, because the result is virtually the same with Thunderbolt. I also appreciate the fact that for 22s, certain rifles prefer certain types of ammo, so there's no telling. But again, the Thunderbolt serves me very well. Overall, price vs. performance, I'd have to say this is my favorite ammo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Ruger 22LR Rifle The Thunderbolt ammo is the only 22 ammo that fires consistently well from my Ruger 22LR Rifle. It is pretty dirty ammo, but I can clean up after using it, and get the performance that I would expect from more expensive 22 ammo.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheap ammo that shoots decent I've bought a few bulk packs of this ammo and it hasn't necessarily let me down, but I seem to have about 60-70 rounds per box that don't fire like they should. I'm not sure if it's a crimping issue or something else, but I feel like Remington needs to up their quality control. Other than this issue it seems to be pretty accurate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheap Ammo I would neither depend my life on this ammunition nor would I assume the gun didn't need to be cleaned often. That being said, for the price it is a box of fun. These rounds appear to be coated with shellac or similar for feed lubrication cycle fine through both my Ruger SR22 and Marlin Glenfield 75 (carbine version of the Model 60). They are some-what dirty but I was able to do ~4" grouping at 50yd with iron sites. I am no marksman and clearly the ammo is better than I am. I had one FTF in a box of 500.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor ammo Misfires and failures to eject seem to be common with this ammo. You can tell that the quality standards are low simply by the sound of the rounds. Some are louder than others (equal amounts of power are not in each round). In addition, when compared with other brands, Federal Auto Match and CCI Mini-Mag, they have less of a pop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Consistently reliable Actually, I purchased several boxes over the last few months. No light fires, stove pipes, just good cartridges at a fair price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Consistant firing I have run about 1500 rounds through my mp15-22 rifle and only 2 fail to eject. The 40 grain is very powerful and great accuracy. I get them when on sale. Great price.
