Moki Ascent: This Beast Is Worth The $$$

I'm glad I paid the extra money for the Moki Ascent instead of one of the cheap knock-offs. This thing is long, wide, heavy, and sturdy - it's more like a platform than a step. I never have to worry it's going to break, slip, fold, etc. Nice tacky grip even putting up a kayak with soggy water shoes on. Love this thing, worth every penny of the 35 bucks.

Love It!

I love this step. It has two different angles you can set it for and it works great! Be warned though that it may dent the metal right under the latch point. Your car was not built with the intent to use something like this so all your weight is transferred to the car body and will most likely dent the metal. Depending on which angle you choose, it will leave two indents. I have attached pictures below. I already have pinstripes from my adventures and this does not bother me, but making sure you all know what CAN happen. If you don’t want to use this, you may want to look into getting a whittle wadder :)

Love It

Love this step. It has two angles which helps a lot. The only thing you need to know is it will most likely leave a dent on your door frame. My rig is already pinstriped from adventures, but this is a different marking. Your weight on the car at this spot was not expected. When you step on it, the weight is transferred to the point of contact and will most likely leave a dent under the door latch point. If you are good with that, great! If not, look into getting a whittle wadder instead :).

Be Careful Could Damage Frame

This seems like a good idea but the weight it puts on the frame can damage your frame. It put a noticeable strain on my door hinge

I‚äôve Tried Other Similar Products,

I’ve tried other similar products, but this one is the best I’ve used. It is very strong, big enough for my large feet, and compact enough to fit in the door pocket. I love it and am happy I bought it.

Excellent Step

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks so much for designing such a great product. Well thought out and well executed. It’s very strong, and supports my weight with no problems.

Great For Loading Tires On Top Of Jeep Cherokees

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work as an instructor for a company that trains special operations soldiers and when putting spare tires on top of the Jeep Cherokees that we use in the offroad portion of our training the Moki Ascent makes it easy to strap the tires down and to remove the tires when needed.

Stepping Up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a genius idea this is—and how great its evolution to this folding model! (Wonderfully easy to store in the vehicle.) Securing my kayak atop my suv has never been easier! Thank you for a brilliantly designed invention.
