Great Replacement For Daughter's Rip-it Fielding Mask

I tried superglue with the original chin-pad, but it wouldn't stay affixed. So I bought one of these chin-cup replacements at Dick's, and at the auto-parts store, I picked up a tube of 3M auto-emblem adhesive. Applied adhesive, placed chin cup, and threw on a few clothespins to hold in place while it dried. As it was drying, I smelled intense noxious fumes coming from the repair area. I put the mask outside and noted I'll probably just go buy a new fielding-mask before the next practice. Checked it the next day, no odor. Sniffed right on the chin-cup and nothing. Since then it's been through cold, rainy practices and now scrimmages through a recent heat-wave. I think we're good!
