I bought a pair of these for my oldest at the start of spring season. She absolutely loved them, she got no gaping at the waist band. As a catcher she can be difficult to get a proper fit (small waist, catcher thighs) but these were perfect. So I bit the bullet and purchased 4 pairs for Fall Ball. I mean they were a great price and a perfect fit. Well turns out every single one fit different and I don't mean slightly, sadly it seems like each pair are a different size. We got maybe two that will work but we are back to the gaping at the waist so she doesn't really want to wear them. I even thought it might be an issue of growing and changing shape but the original pair we purchased still fit perfect and are amazing.

Good Options For Muscular Legs
Among the various brands, we have had the most success with RIP-IT when in youth sizes. Upon graduating to women’s sizes, we really struggle with PRO fit, that is the most commonly see. These do not have that problem, allowing for legs with a bit more development in the legs, but a smaller waist (versus the third fit which also has more room in the waist). My daughter as significantly greater range of motion and comfort, resulting in better stretches, and better form while running, in particular. After going through a half dozen different options at this size, I am so happy we finally found these at Dicks. I only wish they carried them in-store.
