Combo Is Great But Shipping Is Terrible

Let me start off with the good: These Riversider IM7 combos are great. Super strong rod and the Okuma reel handles 25+ pound king salmon very well. They are a great combo at a great price and the big eyelets are great for slip bobber setups. My issue comes with Dick's Sporting Goods Shipping. The first one arrived with the box all beat up and the reel handle was broken. Dicks shipped another and the box looked even worse. And, on this new combo, the eyelets were all bent and screwed up from the beating during shipping. I ended up Frankensteining the good rod/reel pieces together to make one good combo out of two bad ones. Dicks needs to step up their game with packing/shipping big time.

Amazing Bargain And Surefire Setup For Salmon And Trout

I have landed 15 king salmon on this combo with 15lb braided power pro main lines 12 lb leader with slip bobber setup running skein it handles the big boys great! I have loaded this rod up WAAAAY beyond my expectations horsing 17-22 lb king salmon with no signs of conserning stress it always seems like it could handle even more, this was my buggest fear buying this setup as the reel I knew was good but the rod is great too!! The real has a great very smooth drag 11/10 would recommend!!!!! Cant beat it for the price if youre just getting into trout or salmon fishing and i would imagine would be good for any float or bottom bouncing fishing! Tight lines!
