Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not great It launches approx 15'. I put a sinker on the line and it didn't release from the bobber. I added more weight and it still didn't release. So I was basically fishing with my bait enclosed inside the bobber. Pretty hard to catch fish that way.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk at $40 a pop Over priced poorly manufactured and difficult for an adult never mind a child It became so tangled after a few minutes it was irrepairable. Couldn't give it a lower rating

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful This product didn't even work. We cast it out once and it broke. Couldn't even reel it in -- just threw it away after that and used a real fishing pole.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Product Ever! I've never reviewed a product before, but feel that one is needed for this piece of junk. DON'T BUY IT! It failed, broke into several pieces, after only 3 casts. My 4 year old son was so looking forward to going fishing with his new rod that he had seen on TV so many times, but was so disappointed when we had to go home after it broke. GARBAGE!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth $40.00 I bought 2 of these totaling $80.00 and it does Not work... Shoots far but the bobber doesn't open and the string gets stuck. Not worth the money...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Awsome idea and design I bought this for my 6 year old son and it worked great, it cast out actually pretty far, only thing I didn't like was I think the bullet case should be a little bigger for the hook and bait, a few times it would stick closed and not open when it hit the water if the bait wasnt completly in it and by the time we finished fishing the line came right off the reel like it wasn't tied so we lost the bullet in the water :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rocket Fishing Rod has allowed me to fish again! Due to extensive shoulder reconstruction, cannot toss a ball or cast a fishing rod anymore. My grandsons found the Rocket Fishing Rod and insisted I try it knowing how I love and miss fishing. We practiced in the yard almost continuously the first day with no problems. The 7 and 9 yr old used this with no problems and even tested how it can be cast at different distances depending on where we are fishing. Cannot explain how great it was the first time I cast in the river and got a bite! Since this does "shoot" the bobber I do recommend supervision for children with no fishing experience. Live near the river so this gets almost daily use according to the weather. In other words, I most certainly enjoy this little toy and just wish I purchased it sooner!
