Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdiest Work Boot I've Ever Owned This is the sturdiest pair of boots that I have ever owned. I purchased a pair of winter boots and thought maybe the soles were better simply because they were for winter, but the regular pair I recently purchased is just as good. The soles are sturdy and provide excellent grip. I can't speak to how they wear in the long term yet but they are comfortable and provide excellent support. When I mention grip, I am referring to the feeling of strength and support through the ankles they provide and not to sole grip on various surfaces. I don't work on ladders or steel. They are far better than the John Deere and Georgia boots I purchased before these and cost about the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good boots I have been buying these boot's for three years now. I love how comfortable they are straight from the box. No sores at all after a 7 mile hike through the mountains. I do heating and air conditioning for a living I am always squatted down and in and out of the barn yard at home. I wear boots on average 12-14 hours a day. They hold up pretty good through out all of that. Only problem I have with them is I would like to get 1 1/2 years out if them before the sole starts to fall apart on my right foot. But considering what I put them through I guess one year is not bad.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I have learned my lesson about buying online I have been a longtime user of Rocky Boots, and have always been satisfied. This time I learned my lesson about not buying online where you cant try them on! the tongue of this boot is sewn very high to the inside of the boot(not as other boots I have bought)making it hard to get my foot in them. I thought they just needed broken in. NO! after wearing them half a day, and taking them off, I can't get them back on. My always helpful wife threw the box away, so no way to return them. I replaced them with a pair of Justin work boots I purchased at a local store where I could try them on. Lesson (expensive)learned! If you cant try them on don't buy them. And hide the packaging from the Mrs. so you can return them if need be.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth the price I have bought two pair, the first lasted about a year and the bottom feel apart... Thought, well it could have been just that pair.. The second pair, same thing, one year and bottom is falling off.... That's very sad, never buy them again

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Durable boots I was looking to buy another pair of boots. None of the stores in this area carry the rocky work boots. The 1st pair I have lasted around 5 years. They are in rough condition. They were very comfortable. The new ones fit well right from the start. A few hot spots on the upper part but they are breaking in nicely. the first pair were 10.5W they were too wide but only pair the store had at the time. I was skeptical to buy boots online because of shipping back and fourth till you get a pair that fits. I was surprised when the 10.5M that I bought fit so well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cliff Ware's Rocky - 8" IronClad boots (FQ0005693) I received the above-listed boots on 10/08/2014. Later that afternoon I tried them on and have been totally satisfied in all respects. I will have another comment when I have worn them in cold winter weather; however, I feel confident that they will be perfect for the type weather we normally have. Thank you for asking me for my opinion and checking-up on this purchase. Sincerely, Clifford L. Ware

Rated 1 out of 5 by from most uncomfortable boot ever Bought these boots in August of 2014.I have worn these boots every day, with quality socks and am now on my fourth blister. These boots will not break in and are the most uncomfortable boot i have ever worn.I have owned a lot of work boots in 32 years of outdoor service work. These boots are the worst. When it gets cool, and we are only into October, the sole gets so stiff that it becomes noticeably harder to walk.Really disappointed in Rocky owned a pair of corn stalkers years ago and thought their work boots would be as good, not so.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Rocky Ironclad Boots I bought my first pair of Ironclad boots in July 2014, great comfort excellent waterproofing. As one of the other reviews I too work in harsh conditions. Mud, snow, ice, water, dust, oil and grease are common elements to my boots, not to mention the different temperatures they must endure from season to season as well as from a torch or welder. I have been working in these conditions for over 20 years now and have only purchased 1 pair of boots that has lasted longer than 6 months and those boots (made by another boot company) are no longer available. The Ironclad was no exception 2 months after I purchased them the soles started cracking and separating, however the comfort and waterproofing surprisingly enough lasted for the usual 6 months. Rocky boots are my boot of choice and I have had many diffferent styles of Rockys all with the same longevity. Prices keep increasing but it doesn't appear that quality is rising with the price. I wrote this review not to be critical but to help I will continue to buy Rocky boots for work and for hunting.
