Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdiest Work Boot I've Ever Owned This is the sturdiest pair of boots that I have ever owned. I purchased a pair of winter boots and thought maybe the soles were better simply because they were for winter, but the regular pair I recently purchased is just as good. The soles are sturdy and provide excellent grip. I can't speak to how they wear in the long term yet but they are comfortable and provide excellent support. When I mention grip, I am referring to the feeling of strength and support through the ankles they provide and not to sole grip on various surfaces. I don't work on ladders or steel. They are far better than the John Deere and Georgia boots I purchased before these and cost about the same.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from great quality upper, but.... Bought these boots a little over a year ago. The full leather upper is magnificent quality, even better than my red wings. The sole of the boot however is awful. 6 months in the bottom began to crack and separate on the left boot. Eventually I'll have to throw them away because of this issue. Its a shame too because the leather upper is still in magnificent shape. If only I could replace the sole's. They're stylish. And extremely comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not the best, certainly not the worst. 12 months into use, give or take a month. Outsoles needed replaced at nine months, fell off last week. Which seems about right to me. I always have to resole yearly. Upper seemed inferior to other boots I've owned. Which is why I'm discarding rather than trying to rebuild. They feel like your strapping pillows to your feet for three months but that fades quickly. All in all, for a welted boot I'm very neutral. I feel like I got my money's worth but I feel I can find something better and have had better in the past. Will say for the period that the boot is in good condition it is a very comfortable boot to wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good boots I have been buying these boot's for three years now. I love how comfortable they are straight from the box. No sores at all after a 7 mile hike through the mountains. I do heating and air conditioning for a living I am always squatted down and in and out of the barn yard at home. I wear boots on average 12-14 hours a day. They hold up pretty good through out all of that. Only problem I have with them is I would like to get 1 1/2 years out if them before the sole starts to fall apart on my right foot. But considering what I put them through I guess one year is not bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 6 years, and still kicking! I've had my same pair of iron clads for 6 years now. These boots are as tough as nails in the creeks, mud, rocks, and even asphalt. I've had these boots 7in+ deep in creeks and mud and i haven't had the first leak. A couple of months ago, I lost a hook on my left boot and I've started to notice the slick soles also. These boots are perfectly broken in and the leather is going strong. I'd really like to buy new soles and a hook for them so I can continue pushing these things until they finally fall apart. Which, I'm convinced, will never happen. I see a few haven't gotten the life out of their pair like I have mine, maybe I just got a great batch. I've worn Rocky's both on duty and off for 10+ years and I won't ever switch brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All day comfort I farm and work hard. I'm a big man and I'm hard on boots, but rocky boots last me the longest and they stay comfortable all day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I have learned my lesson about buying online I have been a longtime user of Rocky Boots, and have always been satisfied. This time I learned my lesson about not buying online where you cant try them on! the tongue of this boot is sewn very high to the inside of the boot(not as other boots I have bought)making it hard to get my foot in them. I thought they just needed broken in. NO! after wearing them half a day, and taking them off, I can't get them back on. My always helpful wife threw the box away, so no way to return them. I replaced them with a pair of Justin work boots I purchased at a local store where I could try them on. Lesson (expensive)learned! If you cant try them on don't buy them. And hide the packaging from the Mrs. so you can return them if need be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FIVE STARS +++++ I am a mechanic and I also garden in my boots. I've had my Rocky boots since 2006 and they are going strong. The heels are starting to wear but the boot itself is just scuffed from use. I am very hard on boots. When I was in the ARMY I had to replace the heels on my boots every three months. The heels on these Rocky's are just now to where I need to replace them. Wish the heels and soles could be replaced so I could get another 10 years out of them.
