Most comfortable boot right out of the box I ever put on my foot definitely going to buy more

Skinny steel toe caps crush my toes together, the rest of the boot is actually a little loose with a lot of heel slip, this could lessen in time as they break in and I'm able to lace them better. Good looking quality of leather, but a very light matte brown, if you work around chemicals, expect the lowers to darken quite a bit. The overall look of them is quite bulky, like an insulated winter boot, the tongue has a lot of padding. The initial feel is very comfortable, I wouldn't recommend skipping break-in, but if you had to, you'd probably be fine. *They are re-soleable.* According to the box, which is nice, especially since the factory soles are silly looking. The boots appear to be of some kind of welt construction, but I'm no cobbler, so who knows without cutting them open? Looking at other reviews, the sole's lowers appear to be cemented on. Overall, not great, but certainly not terrible - which is the best judgement I can give without test driving them at work for a few months. I plan to keep them as backups if I can't sell them on eBay. I'll try to include some images of the toes, for comparison with others, all size 11.

These were a gift for my son. He says he likes them, and that they are a good boot.

These boots are crazy durable, never had any boots wear this hard. That being said, the break in period is quite long because the upper material is so thick. Also not the most comfortable I've ever worn. I would recommend for someone who works in a trade where your boots are exposed to chemicals and abrasion. I work in concrete and my feet take a beating. These have taken it all. Only 4 stars because of the lack of comfort. Definitely look forward to taking them off at the end of the day.

I work in tree removal and these boots have resolved so many issues for me. I bought insoles not really believing the hype over the comfortability of this boot, I ended throwing them into a different boot because the ones it came with were that good. The waterproofing is no joke, I worked today in 18+ inches of snow and my feet are bone dry. If you care about your feet or even if you love yourself at all, buy these boots, you won’t regret it. Do yourself a favor. These boots will put redwing out of business

These boots are the most comfortable work boots I have ever had, hands-down! They are also pretty darn tough! I've purchased several pairs of this boot, and I've never been disappointed! I've been a concrete finisher for 35 years, I've tried many, many boots and I always come back to these Rocky Ironclad 8" Waterproof boots... they are simply the best! When a pair of my Rocky Ironclad's wear out... I save the insoles and place them in other shoes/boots that I have. Thats how comfortable they are!

My Husband has worn the Rocky Iron Clad 8 inch workboot for nearly as long as I can remember! He absolutely loves this boot! He originally wore the insulated version before it was sadly discontinued. However, he finds this style to be the same quality boot he is accustomed to and loves! The 400 gram thinsulate insulation was just enough for him for both cold and warm temperature regulation and he would switch back in a heartbeat if given the option! He has tried other models of your workboots, but this one suits him best! He works on a brushed concrete floor in a shop and puts nearly a million miles on his feet a week! They hold up for approximately 8 months to a year usually! Only a 4 star due to the removal of the insulation option!

I wear safety toe boots at work so I wanted a pair of just regular boots to kick around the house and town. I’ve only worn them a few times to break in, but they are a good quality Boot so far. Top quality leather.

I've owned about seven pairs of these very same IronClad boots; they're the only brand and style I wear and I haven't found anything better for my use, which is best described as general (not always on cement, just a mix of cement and earth). I've had no problem breaking them in. Every pair I've owned ended with the outermost layer of the heel coming apart such that it flaps around. The rest of the boot holds up great and I haven't taken the best care of them. One time, I received a pair that had the tongue sewn off center toward the outside but I didn't attempt to return them because I had them in the box new for awhile before I wore them. A change I've noticed is that the soles appear to be lighter and harder than in the past. I'm guessing that it was in response to some complaints about the weight of the boots. It seems to me that this has reduced the traction of the sole because harder doesn't stick as good as softer soles, such as on a wet sidewalk. I never minded the weight and preferred the better traction. The heel coming apart is the biggest negative. The biggest positive is that I've found them to be very comfortable having a firm and comfortable foot bed. A new pair of Rocky insoles makes them feel better than a brand new pair. Overall, then, although they're not perfect, they are pretty good quality and, as long as they don't change them further, I'll keep buying them. I've found it difficult to find what might be termed just a "plain regular"work boot. Thanks.
Wrong color
I bought 2 pair because I wear 2 different sizes and they were 2 completely different colors. Had to return them.

I have been wearing Rocky Boots for the last 20 years and love every pair that I have purchased. Without exception the Iron Clad has been my hands down favorite. They are comfortable and supportive. I spend a minimum of 10 hours a day on them and need both, comfort and support.
