I bought a pair of these skates in early July 2022 after realizing that a 3WD layout with larger wheels was going to be the best way to meet my fitness goals. I will admit that when I first heard of 3-wheel skates, I was a little skeptical about the alleged benefits, having been a 4-wheel inline skater for over 25 years. But after only three months with these skates, I am convinced that 3WD skates meet the hype. My endurance and speed have both greatly improved, although this wheel configuration does struggle on uphill stretches more than a 4WD skate does. One change I wish was made for this model is fitting a faster-ratcheting strap fastener. Oh, and a replaceable liner would be nice, too. Other than that, I have nothing negative to say about the Macroblade 110 3WD. If you’re looking to go faster for longer but don’t have the budget for full-on speed skates, these are the skates for you.
