Great Jacket, Strange Sizing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Jacket is warm and dries quickly. It's cut in a strange way. The small is the length of almost a large while the x-small is the size of a chihuahua. In the end, kept the small for the Beagle but it curls up and snow collects inside. The front chest area is so wide it almost trips up the dogs from legs as it is sagging. Other ruffwear jackets fit very well.

Perfectly Weighted Dog Coat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just received this coat and was excited to get my trail dog out with it on. She is comfortable in the fit and is able to run around as if she wasn't wearing it. I love the material. For sizing, I emailed ruffwear to ask what to do when your dog lies right on the middle between two sizes (for example my dog is 17 inches around the ribs and that is right between a size XXS and XS.) The ruffwear rep suggested sizing down and they were right! It is not too heavy that it would slow her down while hiking, backpacking, or mountain biking. And it is able to roll up nicely to be thrown in my pack if needed. My dog is a 2 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is small for her breed and fully grown at 10 pounds. And we got the XXS in the Teal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this and another ruffwear jacket. Despite being the same size, this one feels a little tight across his chest. As with most small dogs, mine needs to wear a harness not just a collar. I wish this jacket had an opening on the back so the harness could go inside. It’s too tight if I put it over the fleece but I think a bigger harness would be too big in the neck. It will do, but not my favorite. #smalldogproblems
