Rated 5 out of 5 by from FINALLY some relief! I have extremely tight gluteus maximus, gluteus minimus and piriformis muscles and not even trigger point shots have been able to loosen them up. So I went out and bought this foam roller yesterday and finally I've found relief. Today I tried to use it again and felt like I was bruised but my muscles don't feel nearly as tight as they were yesterday. FINALLY some progress!!!I think I'm going to purchase a flat foam roller to use in between the days when I feel bruised from using this but this is wonderful for DEEP tissue massages.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Suffering no more!!! I'm ashamed to admit how long I've been in pain and suffering with overall stiffness even though I've been working out, getting regular massages and wondering if this was just a sign of aging. Today I purchased this body roller OMG I feel like a new woman!!! No more stiff hamstrings and,Achy feet and calf muscles. I will do this daily full body ! thank goodness for the article in westchester Magazine (June issue)! I've been blogging about it all day thank you now I can hopefully live pain free without Tylenol.Sometimes I thought I was arthritis but in fact it was muscle release that I needed and regular stretching just wasn't doing enough for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have especially for lifters! I lift weights four times a week and run approximately five miles and this rumble roller is a must have for anyone in need of releasing tension in their muscles. My flexibility has decreased over the past two years because of the muscles I've gained and my lack of stretching. I've recently added this rumble roller to my post workout routine followed by stretching and my body feels the difference. For the really tight muscles, it is uncomfortable in the beginning, but the longer I hold the position the more my muscles start to relax and I can actually feel the tension being released. I highly recommend this to lifters and anyone with muscle tightness. I'm just over 5'-3" and weigh 115 lb and this roller is perfect for me versus the firmer one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love the rumble roller! This was a great purchase for me! I go to the gym every day and several days a week I even go twice. This product is much more effective than the regular foam roller without the bumps that I have. I now own the full size regular foam roller and the compact extra firm one. This is a perfect combination. I'm planning to use the original foam roller regularly to help eliminate muscle stiffness on muscle groups that are too painful with my extra firm one. I was recently rear ended on the freeway and as a result my lower back gets stiff if I stand in one place too long. The rumble roller has helped me with this by putting it against a wall and rolling it along my lower back. I also try to use it multiple times a week on all muscle groups. So far it does the trick. I also feel like it's well made and is worth the money I spent on it. It's much cheaper than going to a massage therapist regularly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Painful, physically and in cost, but very effective! The product works as advertised. You feel great after a session. It really does get into the muscle. Is it painful? On a muscle knot, yes very mush so. But the relief after a session has been nothing short of euphoric. Cost is a little high for a foam roller, but I was able to find a coupon and free shipping which made me finally pull the trigger. It has been a great tool in my P90X, +, 3, Insanity, Asylum regiment. I should have bought it a long time ago for the muscle relief alone, but for what it does to the knot in my neck and shoulder it has now become irreplaceable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ready 2 Rumble I bought the Rumble Roller (Blue) because my body developed a tolerance with the smooth foam roller. When your body adapts to a certain foam roller its purpose becomes ineffective. The bumps on the Rumble Roller stimulate deeper layers of muscle and stretches your fascia more completely. It provides concentrated pressure to effectively relieve trigger points and knots. My first session with my Rumble Roller was quite painful because my body was not used to the bumps. However, I did feel less sore from my workouts as the Rumble Roller stimulates blood flow to your fascia. I suggest to roll very slow and when you feel pain or tenderness on a certain area of your body, keep the roller on that area. This will release the knot and loosen up your fascia. In the end, I am happy with my purchase and don't see that I will ever need the extra firm Rumble Roller (Black). The original blue Rumble Roller is built very sturdy and will permanently retain its shape and resiliency. I know it's a very pricey investment but it is well worth it in the long run to keep yourself healthy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great! But not for everyone. A very interesting device, but you have to use it properly. It is much firmer than I imagined, especially the fingers/bumps, so using one's entire body weight might be too much. Having said that, it works great for deep tissue massage, and I can manipulate it to exactly where I need it. To be effective, it hurts--just like deep tissue massage--and one has to have the discipline to roll it very slowly over those painful parts. Again, just like real massage! I imagine most people would do well to at least start with a less aggressive foam roller, but for those who can tolerate it, this thing is great. It can work out specific kinks, and I get to control how much and for how long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best roller available I have had a very severe case of IT band syndrome from long distance running. I had reached a point of feeling no pain anymore, hence, probably no real benefit on a standard roller, so I thought that I would give the rumble roller a try. Although I had been running again, I would occasionally have very tight bands in both legs, causing classic IT-band-related knee pain. The rumble roller is painful, especially at first, but will give your IT bands the best rub down you can get, hands down. Get ready for some initial pain though. Try covering it with a towel until you get more used to the pressure from the pressure points on the roller. Note, you may have some slight bruising along your legs, but it is worth it.
