Needs Improvement

I feel this product would be successful if this was a sturdy and stable unit. I like the belt clip, but I don’t like the turning spray head because if I’m in a stressful situation, I need to know where the head is pointing. As far as the light, maybe a rechargeable unit that doesn’t detach is better. When I brought it, I couldn’t open the part to put the battery in. I like the concept, it need to be improve

Great Product, But It Could Be An Even Greater One

I received this as a gift, and I loved it. Until about three days later when the clip failed to clip onto my belt and fell to the ground. It may be weather and water resistant, but ground resistant it is not, unfortunately. The plastic holding the pepper spray canister broke and now it's just a really bright flashlight, which is still functional and great. I wish there were replacement parts available, or the warranty was more flexible with what it covers vs what it does not. I love the idea of the pepper light. Brilliant. Now, they need to figure out how make the entire unit out of metal. I would love to say that it's come in very handy for personal protection for my toddler and I, but I haven't been able to utilize the pepper function at all. I guess I will just try to blind any would-be attacker with the strobe function on the super bright flashlight.

Read This Before You Buy.

I bought this about two months ago and here is my opinion. It's okay. The body of the pepper spray is all metal and feels strong, however the top part is EXTREMLEY fragile. The pepperlight was clipped onto my belt and as I was taking my belt off it fell onto my CARPET from waist height. The fliptop safety cover broke off so now I don't feel safe carrying it with me because of accidental discharge. Oh, and that brings me to my next point, the belt clip dosent really "clip" onto anything that strong. Two times the pepperlight came off my belt just sitting down. HOWEVER: The pepper spray itself is VERY strong. It sprays in a stream, not a fog or spray by the way. My cousin accidentally sprayed it for half a second on the floor (because of the safety that broke). After about 5 seconds we both got up at the same time and ran out the room coughing and spitting and sneezing. Someone walked into the room about 3 minutes later and also started sneezing bad. And only a little was sprayed on the ground! The light isn't as bright as I wish it could be, but it's definitely usable. Here's my concensus: If you just want pepper spray, don't buy this. Buy one of the other canisters that's just pepper spray. If you want pepper spray AND a flashlight and dont want to carry too many separate things, than buy this but use it with a holster and carry it isnide there. Don't trust the belt clip.
