Great, Needs New Engineering!

Love this unit! It is just a brilliant design, but the execution of the product is pitiful! It is so sad to come across the ideal design for a small flashlight and pepper spray, and then the belt clip breaks off, the flip top breaks at the hinge, or the entire top head breaks at the threads with a little drop! Come on! Let's not only design a great unit, but also produce one! LOL! YOU ARE HALF WAY THERE! Why not make the Pepperbeam 3, aluminum body, head, and flip top! Then add a 3rd function! Emergency video cam that records sound and video, or emergency button to cell phone to call for help, etc. I really do love the design of this unit and I may buy another one and again, try to treat it carefully, after all, I date beautiful women and make the effort for them too! LOL!

Needs Improvement

I feel this product would be successful if this was a sturdy and stable unit. I like the belt clip, but I don’t like the turning spray head because if I’m in a stressful situation, I need to know where the head is pointing. As far as the light, maybe a rechargeable unit that doesn’t detach is better. When I brought it, I couldn’t open the part to put the battery in. I like the concept, it need to be improve

Great Product, But It Could Be An Even Greater One

I received this as a gift, and I loved it. Until about three days later when the clip failed to clip onto my belt and fell to the ground. It may be weather and water resistant, but ground resistant it is not, unfortunately. The plastic holding the pepper spray canister broke and now it's just a really bright flashlight, which is still functional and great. I wish there were replacement parts available, or the warranty was more flexible with what it covers vs what it does not. I love the idea of the pepper light. Brilliant. Now, they need to figure out how make the entire unit out of metal. I would love to say that it's come in very handy for personal protection for my toddler and I, but I haven't been able to utilize the pepper function at all. I guess I will just try to blind any would-be attacker with the strobe function on the super bright flashlight.

Used this for a month, the top safety latch is very fragile.
