I bought these in October and by March the inside heals had both worn out to the outer shell. I didn't wear them a great deal which makes it even worse that they didn't last that long.

The foot bed (or insole) is not robust or shaped well enough to engage the foot fully and keep it in position within the shoe. The result is that the foot slides forward into the toe box, and the toes get forced into the toe cap and get stubbed and bleed or break the toe nail. I've tried lacing extra tight but still happens, particularly on downhill trails. I recommend Salomon beef up the insole to truly engage the foot sufficiently to hold the foot in position. Also, the height (or thickness) of the toe box is far too thick/tall (roomy) which exacerbates the above problem. Due to the excess thickness in that area the upper deforms and wrinkless when the laces are tight.

Have had over 10 pairs of these. usually love them, however this time right out of the box first try on one of the lace holes popped out. I send everything in for the warranty and it has been radio silence. very disappointed!

I have been buying Salomon trail shoes for over twenty years, they are great.

I had a pair I used for trail running. Liked them so much I got a pair for work where I stand on concrete all day. They are well cushioned, but not so much that you don’t feel connected with the ground. Treads are very grippy. Super easy to take on and off. All around most functional shoes I’ve ever owned.

I need a pair of trail running hiking shoes for the camino de Santiago walk. After wearing these shoes for a few weeks, I found them to be extremely comfortable and I’m looking forward to walking the Santiago with these shoes.

I have been wearing the XAPro for years both the regular and the goretex one in the winter or when in the wet I wear the sides out because of the way I walk so I need good support and these do the job for me.

I bought these shoes online, and instantly noticed something off when I opened the box. There was a plastic tag wire on the left shoe, but no tag. The left shoe also was missing the paper insert. Put on both shoes, instantly felt something wrong in the left shoe. There was a defecf in the lace loop and it was poking HARD through the top of my foot. Nothing on the right foot. Made it impossible to walk in the shoes. Its clear the defect was noticed which is why the paper insert was missing. Super unhappy I was sent a defected shoe.

XA Pro’s fit as advertised and are comfortable. Would recommend if you are looking for a non waterproof low cut trail shoe. I wear them everyday and light hiking.

Its super light but tough and durable plus it looks good. I've been using the XA models for at least 15 years, they are my favorite hiking shoe and also great for my line of work. Well worth the price.

Super stable, and surprisingly good traction. Getting a 2nd pair 6 yr after original pair.

I have been buying Solomon shoes for 20+ years. This particular pair feels like cheap plastic. It doesn’t feel like the quality materials that have been used in the past. Honestly, I’m disappointed with the overall quality of the product.
