Great Boots!!

I needed a new pair of hiking boots and can no longer get the boots I had so decided to try Salomon’s. I’m glad I did. I’m really enjoying them. They required no break in. I wore them around the house for a day, then took a 1.5 mile walk, then a few days later a 5 mile hike. I’m happy to say no hot spots and no blisters. I also like the wider toe box which is why I believe they are so comfortable.

Light & Excellent Grip

Personally I had to break these shoes in a little bit, but after that they felt quite comfortable and light. Ankle support could be better (had to re-tie them multiple times) but the grip is excellent! Used in rocky terrain both wet and dry and they performed spectacularly. Felt very safe.

Worst Hiking Shoe. Do Not Buy!!

I am an avid hiker and have always purchased salmon for their quality and comfort and this is probably the worst shoe I’ve ever purchased in all my years. They get so hot on my feet so fast and I cannot leave them on for more than a 2-3 hours with just regular socks. After only a month of wearing these the rubber notches on the bottoms of the shoe just started tearing off and now whenever there are rocks or sticks on the path the bottom of the shoe catches on those things because of the hanging notches so I trip so much. There is little to no ankle support and my shoe laces never ever stayed tied no matter how much I tie them. As a person who has always bought Salomon hiking boots I am extremely disappointed. I literally can’t even wear these. I have probably worn these less than 30 times since I bought them a year ago and am just using my old busted up Salomon’s with holes in them and no tread on the bottom rather than these to hike. What a waste of money. Please do not buy.

My Best Hiking Shoes

I’ve been wearing these hiking shoes on every mountain trail I’ve tackled, and they’ve quickly become the best pair I own. Comfortable And Waterproff

I bought these for a trip to Scotland where I expect rain most days. I tried them out at home here and found then to be perfectly waterproof. They were comfortable from the moment I put them on. I gave them a 4 star because the "tongue" at the closure does not easily tuck back under the boot side when tying the strings . . . and the strings need to be double knotted to stay closed . . . and that doesn't always stay.
