Worked Pretty Good

I would give it a higher rating if the bottom screw portion was beefier. It needs a bit more holding power for the sand. But the price point was reasonable.

Only Lasted A Day

Where the two poles connect and lock into place, the plastic broke the first day. It caused the umbrella to lift out of one section and fly down the beach.

Great Size And Good Price But Not Likely Built To Last.

Great size. Sand screw makes set up easy. Out of the box, had a quarter and dime sized hole. The top would also spin in barely any breeze. DICK'S returned the item and customer service ordered a new one since item sold out in store. Manager discounter the umbrella to even out the cost of the shipping due to the inconvenience. Delivered 2 days later and in good condition. The latch which keeps the umbrella open was a bit difficult to have it catch appropriately. 2nd one doesn't spin. For the price, it's good but not expecting it to last for years to come. Size is fantastic and and the UV protection is adequate! Steel pole is not too heavy but sturdier. Strong enough to screw into grass so that is a plus.

We bought this umbrella for a week long beach vacation. We were a bit nervous because of the less than stellar reviews but figured we’d give it a try for the price point. We were 100% pleased with our purchase. It was lightweight, easy to set up, and provided great shade for 4 people during a sunny trip.

Umbrella Never Locked

umbrella never locked in place due to twisted latch tab. impossible to bend back without pliers.

Poor Quality

after the third day at the beach, some of the plastic started breaking off poor quality if you just need it for an emergency, it works well, but it doesn’t look good like it’s good for long-term use will be returning

Can fit a standard chair under the umbrella, no need for a short beach chair. 8 ft diameter provided a lot of shade
