Great Shoe, The Good Looks Wears Off Immediately

These shoes were incredibly good looking. I had compliments on them. They are the lightest shoes I have ever owned for money. With the carbon plate there was excellent propulsion, responsiveness in the cushion was very good. The fit was true. My major complaint is that the beautiful purple soul within two or three times wearing it was coming off and they look quite ugly and unattractive. The function remains the same. I’m blown away that issue I paid more than $250 for with tax will come apart this quickly with any kind of where or even using them to drive with with the side of the right foot on the floor mat. It’s like a very cheap paint or coat of rubber on the outside, which comes apart immediately. I love the shoes, but very disappointed in them coming apart within two or three wires.

Stable But Not Speedy

Purchased as a racing shoe for which my custom orthotics would fit. On that front it is great. With a chronic ankle problem, I feel much safer in these than in a narrow, unstable super shoe. But the Pro 4 does not have the trampoline feel of a high end plated racer.

My size is usually between US 7 and 7.5, and I ordered a 7.5, but I think I would try a size 8 for my next pair for a bit more room. Sufficient But Disappointing After The Pro 3

The Pro 3 was a great, lively, fun, springy shoe. This shoe, the Pro 4, is not that. It is light and feels good with solid stability, but all the "LIFE" that the pro 3 had is gone. I assume they toned the performance in this model down to focus on the Endorphin Elite line.

Bouncy But Not Responsive

This is my first pair of carbon plated super shoes. I've had and still have Kinvaras for road and Peregrines for trail. I find the fit is similar to the other models of Saucony which is great. They are comfortable. But I feel the softness of the sole makes it hard to have a good propulsion and short contact time for a fast run, which is what the shoe is for. The larger drop of the shoe also contributes to this. The shoe might be more suited for people that are heel strikers where they would gain from the rocking effect of the sole. I feel these Endorphin Pros are less suited for midfoot or forefoot strikers that want to push forward as close to contact time as possible. I had purchased these shoes to help me get to a sub-19min 5k. I might end up relying on my Kinvaras for this because of their stiffer sole and smaller drop.

Very Good - But The Fabric Doesn't Last

These are excellent and comfortable running shoes - this is my third pair. I run 25 - 40 km/week, and no injury or pain issues. The only critic that I have is that the fabric is not resistant, it shreds quite rapidly - this needs to be improved. Once in a while, they get on sale and affordable.
