Great Fit But Questionable Quality.
I have been using Saucony Guide shoes on and off for over 15 years. I recently purchased the Guide 18 online and was very pleased with the fit. However, I had to return it because of a defect — the glue between the mesh and the sole was very noticeable and did not fully hold the mesh together. The replacement pair also had visible glue on the outside, which makes me wonder durability and lack of quality control.

Feel Great Right Out Of The Box.
I just got a pair of these in the mail yesterday. It's been a long time since I've bought any decent running shoes and never spent this much money before. I'm 74 years old with arthritis and sore feet so I don't run anymore but I have been looking for comfortable and stable walking shoe. Wow! Straight out fo the box these shoes feel so much better than anything thing else I've been wearing recently or in the past. I guess it's true you get what you pay for. I might have to try a pair of Huricane 25s next.

Favorite Daily Runners
These are my favorite daily runners. Enough stability, good cushion, fine rebound and just a predictable, solid, comfortable shoe that I feel like I can both push and go easy in (and everything in between!). Past shoes have been Hoka Arahi, Brooks Adrenaline, Hoka Kawana, Asics Kayano and the Guides are my favorite, by far. Fit is great for me - solid and secure in the heel, top and sides with good space in the toe box (which is hard to find!). On my second pair after ~400+ miles in the first pair.

So So...
I have run through 9 pairs of Guide 17s in the last 1.5 years. This 18 was my first exposure to the new version. First, it wears smaller than the 17. At the same size, my smaller toes rub at the end of the shoe while running in the 18. I can't tell if anything has changed in the stability design in this version, but I always felt an amazing comfort when I put on a new pair of 17s. The 18s didn't hit me that way. I'll get a half size larger again and see if anything changes.

Not Great
Started falling apart very quickly, wouldn't recommend this version. I've had great Saucony Guide before, but the Guide 18 seem to have worse quality.
