Rated 4 out of 5 by from For a Inexpensive Shotgun You Get a Lot of Bang For the Buck. I received this shotgun as a Father’s Day gift from my son( I have a great son). At first, I was skeptical that for the price it would be a nonfunctional shotgun and would last about a year at the rate I shoot. At first glance the Savage 320 Shotgun appears well put together. It is as solid as many Mossberg’s and Remington’s I have handled in the past. The finish is matt black and the polymer furniture gives a good grip on the slide and pistol grip. The Savage feels good in your hands. The pistol grip is a tad bit thick for your smaller handed shooter but, still completely functional. The stock is a standard length stock and shoulders wells and solid with no wiggle at the stock\receiver union. Slide function is what you expect from a pump action shotgun. The Savage feels as if it will hold up to many years of being banged around and range/hunting use. I broke it down and lubricated it before going to the range. I highly recommended this as mine came a little dry out of the box. The 320 breaks down on par with other name brand shotguns and reassembles relatively easy. Make sure you tighten down that barrel cap. I messed with it and found that even a couple of turns will place the shell far enough out of battery and away from the bolt face to not fire. I like this as a design safety feature. Just check the tightness the cap and off you go. I did have an issue with the slide release button. The button located just to the left rear of the trigger housing and designed to be pushed up into the shotgun. You tend to want to push it straight in. It lands on my hand at about the base of the trigger finger making manipulation of the slide release a challenging operation while gripping the gun. Once you have overcome this, you will find the release usable. I would suggest Savage relocate the slide release. Maybe move it to the front of the trigger housing making it manageable with the trigger/index finger while maintaining control of the shotgun. Ok, now the fun stuff!!! Off to the range to put it to work. As I always do when using a shotgun for the first time, I will run #8 birdshot through it to check functionality and control (easier on the old shoulder). The Savage handled the Winchester 2 ¾ #8 bird shot without issue. Once I ran about 20 of these through it, I switched to my home defense load of Federal Vital-Shock 3" OO Buck. It cycled these shells with no effort or issue. I then switched to low recoil 2 ¾ OO Buck and again 10 shells without a hitch. The Savage handled well with all three loads. The rear ring and front post sight made the sight picture easy to obtain and similar to that of an AR-15 (You AR guys will feel right at home on the Savage). I ran it through a few rapid fire series with few tactical reloads. The Savage handled the ejector port fed shells like a champ with no stoppages. I didn’t get to run any slugs through the gun as I left them at home. I’m sure the way it handled my buck shot the slug would present no issues. Overall, it’s a good solid shotgun. It functions well, feeds flawlessly and was a pleasure to shoot. With the exception of the minor slide release issue (Purely my opinion) I enjoyed the gun immensely. It feels solid, handles well and with the proper weapons care (Cleaning and lubrication) it should last for many, many years to come. So, for the buck, I feel I got a lot of bang. I would recommend the Savage 320 to anyone who is looking for a well-produced affordable shotgun.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The finshes is weak. I love this shotgun!! But... The finshes is very weak. The coating come-out very easily. Driving me crazy with my OCD. I have to buy a third-party coating to fill in the nicks and scratches. What a bummer. The price you pay for a cheap firearm.. Thank you for reading my review!!:)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great entry level shotgun I took this out the day after I bought it. We went clay shooting and had so much fun with it. I had no issues with all the rounds I put through it and the gun felt very solid. Super easy to take apart and clean. Only downside is I can't find a long barrel to purchase because I was hoping to have one for clay shooting. But for the price I might as well just buy another with the 28 inch barrel.
