Camping Must Have

I don’t know how I didn’t know this product existed before. First time buyer and user of permethrin. I bought it for my son’s week long camping trip in Twin Lake Michigan. Originally I bought one bottle thinking it was enough for all his clothes and gear, but one bottle is good for up to five outfits so I had to buy two more bottles. Timing for spraying each piece depends on the thickness and size. For example for joggers I spent a bit more time spraying than for socks and T-shirts. Don’t recommend counting seconds when spraying. Sort of gauge on how “wet” the fabric looks. You don’t want the fabric too soaked otherwise it will take longer to dry. Clothes and gear don’t feel different once they dry. I only sprayed the outer layer of fabric. Once my son came up, he had no mosquito bites!

Keeping Safe

Ticks are a big problem for anyone who goes outdoors-and not just for camping- they are in untreated yards, fields,beaches and and especially wooded areas. Ticks cause many different variations of disease and sometimes a tick bite goes unnoticed Permethrin is known to combat ticks so spraying clothing before going into wooded areas is an ounce of prevention well worth taking. Boots, tents and other gear would also be recommended. I’ve experienced a tick borne illness without a known bite and I got very sick. Check your children daily- change clothes after possible exposure and daily bath/ tick checks advised

Fantastic Product That Keeps The Ticks Away!

After my kiddo's school nurse called to tell me they had to pull three ticks off of him, I knew we needed a better bug spray solution. Enter the Sawyer Permethrin spray! So far since using it we have had zero ticks come home with us from our outdoor adventures. We have used it to treat pants, jackets, and boots – it is basically odorless, and though they recommend not getting it on skin, we have had no adverse reactions so far (however your mileage may vary!) I would definitely recommend this product.

Works - Keeps Ticks Off When Doing Trail Work

I put this on all my trail working clothes and really helps keep the number of ticks I find afterwards pretty small, if not most days zero. I use off Deep Woods on espoused skin but this combo, I can for sure see the difference without question.

This is absolutely the best product you can use to keep ticks off of your clothing. It’s expensive, but way less expensive than a tickborne illness. I have Alpha Gal (the red meat allergy from the Lone Star tick) and can get much worse if I get bitten again. This is product I trust.
