It’s Okay

I had this bike for 4 months. The breaks keep coming lose. Yesterday I almost crashed because both breaks popped on me going 20mph thankfully I was able to stop with foot. I’ve brung it in to get it fixed just keep coming apart. I’m finally getting a replacement this week. The front fender also keep touching the tire causing it to make squeaky noises. The manager was super nice about the situation but I think the bike isn’t the best brand but also not the worst.

dalen

Overpriced junk. Sorry Schwinn. You know it.

Not What I Was Expecting From Schwinn

This bike is a piece of crap. I’ve been trying to resolve manufacturing issues the bike came with for 2 months and Schwann customer service has only given me the run around. There are other e bike brands that would be a much better option than this. The electric mode doesn’t always kick in and mine came with a bad back axle and back break. Cost me a couple hundred to get fixed. Lame

Need Assistance

I have no throttle although my wife’s same bike does please assist Thanks Allen

Dissatisfied

The battery does not lock in place. As the lock is defective, the battery keeps sliding out (away from the connector) reducing all power significantly.

Damage

Good bike but front fork was bend and all was un packed once I realized. I put together but something is not right with the break and I’m on my way to REI to repair.

It will assist you on your tough rides.

Pretty Bike. I Dont Think The Battery Is Upgradable So I Think You Have To Take Care Of It.

very nice bike, i just got it home, and i think you have to unscrew the battery if you want to bring it into the house to charge it. I looks nice and has nice pick up when you pedal. Its pedal assist only, no throttle but i think that is ok because it does have good power to go up hills when you are pedaling. The manual talks about all the other battery positions besides this one!

Great Cruiser!

Great bike! The pedal assist is fantastic! I have the 50 mile battery. The directions that came with the bike are awful. FYI: the manual to put bike together the rest of the way is very generic. The switch for the pedal assist is under battery. I’ve rode to and from work 15 miles each way.

First Ride Comments

I did a 14-mile ride along the D&R canal in Central NJ. The bike performed well. I still have to work on the derailer settings, as it hunts between gears at the moment. The pedal assist is amazing ! When you first start to pedal it really helps with the launch. The power is smooth and predicable. I like the feature if you don't pedal there is no assist. I used the assist to extend my riding ability. I'm almost 63 so the old legs need some help after a while. I only used the assist in the last 2 miles.

Close But Not As Great As I Expected From Schwinn.

The bike is very good. I find the position of the handle bars a bit too far forward and there is no real adjustment. The power switch on the battery does not show on/off. You just have to guess. The seat is uncomfortable.

Not Good

Sad brand new bike need to bring it to bike shop because it doesn't work. Would not by another one

Love My Bike

I love my Mendocino bike! I recommend having it assembled professionally. We tried on our own and ended up sending it to a bike shop to fix a few things. I am still on my first charge and have had the bike for several months! This is my first electric bike and the “gentle” assist is perfect for me. I do wish the seat was a little lower and I had the handle bars raised. I am short so it’s hard to find an adult bike that fits.

PatriciaO

Can’t get the front tire on or handle bar!

Don't Do It!

manual that arrives with the bike is not for this model. Videos available are of no value either because they do not use this model. I am sending mine back so disappointed.
