Read Before Buying: Schwinn 411 Elliptical

I purchased the Schwinn 411 elliptical machine, but I found the resistance at its lowest setting to be unexpectedly challenging. I contacted Schwinn, and they sent a technician to inspect the machine. The technician confirmed that it was functioning properly. If you are looking for a machine to warm up before a workout or prefer lighter exercise sessions, I cannot recommend the Schwinn 411. Additionally, as someone who is 5'11", I've noticed I need to lean forward while using the machine to compensate for the limited arm extension range.

Harder Than I Thought, Will Not Connect To Explore

Seems to be too high a resistance even at lowest setting. Will not connect to the explore the world app. Does fit nicely in the small space I have for it.

I Feel Ripped Off

The rollers need constant application of lubricant, every few days, or else they get noisy and start to melt. Between that and the fact you need to dose it in lubricant it is the messiest exercise machine I have ever used. Within less than a year one of the rollers shattered completely and is now unusable. There are no replacement parts online and the number they list on the manual is a robot playing recorded messages trying to sell you elderly health products. Fatally flawed product that I would never recommend. If you are looking for a compact elliptical you probably not storing/using it in a dedicated exercise room, which makes the general mess this thing creates all the much worse. On top of that, even with lubricant applied if you go a moderately fast pace or faster the rollers of the elliptical have a tendency to come off the rails since there's nothing actually holding them down other than gravity. This is a massive safety hazard on top of the damage it can cause to the machine and the interruption it causes to your workout. You have to go slower on this thing than cheaper and (seemingly) flimsier compact ellipticals.

I Love This Bike!!

I try to ride a little every day and work my way up in time and resistance. It's SO easy to use and operate. It's VERY quiet so I can ride while watching tv! It keeps a log of my past uses also. Its seriously an overall fantastic bike that is also comfortable and easy on my joints and back! I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this bike!
