Problematic

I bought this bike about 18 months ago after a serious ankle injury kept me from running. As of today, I have used it 156 times. I am giving 2 stars for the build - sturdy, durable, comfortable. However: 1. There was a slight ticking noise during pedaling for the first 6 months. Not sure why or where it was coming from. You can see other people complain about it online. Once in a while, it comes back. Annoying. 2. The phone/tablet stand foam is so flimsy that within the first few days of taking my phone on and off of it, it tore some of the foam off. I just don't use it now. 3. The knob to adjust difficulty is rubbish. The description online says "It uses a micro-adjustable resistance knob located on the main frame, directly between the handlebars and in front of the seat. This knob controls the magnetic resistance, allowing for seamless changes in difficulty from level 0 to 100. The knob does not click into place; it turns smoothly, allowing for precise, tiny adjustments." They say this like it is a good thing. It is not a good thing. When I try to increase resistance at intervals, say +1 every 2.5 minutes, I WANT it to click into place. This free-wheeling knob is touchy and frustrating. It takes fine finessing to switch from one number to the next, and sometimes, even when I think I do get it right, I look down and it is alternating between the two numbers. Why wouldn't you just make a knob that clicks at each level one by one by one? Why do I have to mess with it for 15 seconds sometimes to get it to the right number?? 4. And the most egregious offense? The timer is NOT ACCURATE. It is off my 20 seconds every 15 minutes, i.e., my standard 45-minute workout is actually 44 minutes on the bike. At an hour, it is off by 1 minute, 20 seconds. Etc. And you know what I was told when I complained to Schwinn? "This is a normal function of the bike, it may be a few minutes off after almost an hour. They are Residential grade and can vary slightly, mine did as well and the team stated this is normal to be slightly off after a full ride." That is unacceptable. My iPhone says 45 minutes. My Garmin watch says 45 minutes. My basic cheap kitchen timer says 45 minutes. The bike says 44. In this day and age, I do not understand how you can sell me a $1000 bike with an inaccurate timer. The most basic of functions and you can't get it right? I will continue to use it because I don't really need it to be more than what it is. But I do not recommend.

Great Bike

I bought this bike to make working out more convenient. Great bike, easy to assemble, doesn’t take up a lot of space.

Easy To Assemble, Fun To Ride.

I bought my Schwinn IC4 bike a month ago. My only regret is that I did not buy it sooner. It was a fairly easy assembling process. I followed a Youtube tutorial step by step using the tools included in the box. The bike connects to my Peloton app easily. It takes up very little space in my home gym. I recommend anyone looking to start cycling class to purchase this bike.

Great Exercise Bike

Have had this bike for about a month, and it has been a great addition to our home gym. Compact, quiet, and smooth. Set up was a breeze and the bike is easily adjustable. Very happy with this purchase.
